Favorite Epcot Dining

We have dined at just about all of the World Showcase TS restaurants. I think the only one we have not dined at is Biergarten in Germany. We've had good experiences in all of the restaurants. My favorites were Le Cellier and marakesh. The atmosphere at the restaurants really add to the experience of the whole meal. I loved the belly dancers at Marakesh (My DW didn't find my enjoyment of them very excitiing :rotfl: ).

As for Le Cellier, the dark wine cellier feel was very nice and added to the enjoyment of the meal. The food there was exceptional and really exceeded my expectations.

Nine Dragons.. but only because I'm Asian and loved their tender and spciy beef dishes. :D

I agree that San Angel seems quite romantic with the "forever evening in the casa" decor, but I hear the food is only so-so. Is that true?

We have dined at San Angel Inn since we just about first started going to Disney and we never had a bad meal! Service has been so-so at times, but usually fine. I know some people have had said the food is awful, but that can happen anywhere. I think it is a place that if you are interested in it, and also like Mexican dishes other than your standard Mexican food fare, such as Tacos and burritos then you should give it a try. Even though there have been bad reviews there have also been good ones that it would be worth it to give it a try! :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

The last time we visited Disney, (two years ago :guilty: ) we ate at the Biergarten - wonderful food, fun atmosphere. My MIL danced the polka with our 3 year old, lots of good times that meal!
We also snacked at Italy, good food great coffee and France, flaky croissants and wonderful service.
We're trying Le Cellier, Italy's table service and going back to the Biergarten this time. Six weeks I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like the food at the San Angel Inn, and the whole setting is attractive as well. The service has been very good every time I've visited as well.

But I have not eaten at all of the table service spots in Epcot. I liked the Coral Reef very much, and the German beergarten is OK as well. The Rose & Crown is also OK. I have a reservation at Le Cellier, and will add it to my list come November.

I did not care much for the Marrakesh, the Chefs de France, nor the Akershus.

But each of us have different tastes methinks.

Enjoy.

We like R&C the best. We usually get a later time spot and try for a patio table to watch Illuminations.
DH loves it because they carry his favorite dark beers.

This trip we have an ADR for the last night of our trip with R&C. It will be a great way to end our trip.

We enjoy LeCellier and Rose and Crown. We've also eaten in Italy. My family is "picky", but I think we all enjoyed the food at Le Cellier. There was also something for everyone to enjoy at R & C, and the waitress was really nice and brought us out to the patio to see Illuminations when we were finished.

DH and I tried Nine Dragons at lunch. We loved it. We were on the dining plan and we ordered the lunch sampler for two, which cost us each 1 table service. It included wonton soup or hot and sour soup(we had the wonton which was really good), then for the main course there was honey sesame chicken, pepper beef and chop suey. We also each got a small bowl of rice. It was the perfect size portions as I didn't come out over stuffed or still hungry. I actually found the recipe for the honey sesame chicken and have made it at home. It's so good.

For us it is LeCellier hands down. The cheese soup followed by the filet with the suggested wine pairing and then onto the desert. We love it there.

No question. Le Cellier is the best IMHO. All of them are good, but Le Cellier is certainly the best.

Alfredos is a close second. I also enjoy San Angel and the Biergarden for a fun time.

I have tried to experience different restaurants each visit, although we sometimes go back to the same ones because we like them so much!

This a list of the TS restaurants in EPCOT that we've tried:
Coral Reef (Living Seas)
San Angel Inn (Mexico)
Akershus (before it became a princess meal) (Norway)
Marrakesh (Morocco)
Bistro de Paris (France - upstairs)
Chefs de France (France - downstairs)
Le Cellier (Canada)
L'Originale Alfredo di Roma (Italy)

The only one I did not really care for was Marrakesh, and it had nothing to do with the quality of food or service -- it just wasn't my thing. I'm a very adventurous eater, but for some reason this didn't appeal to me.

My top 3 choices would be Bistro de Paris, Le Cellier, and Akershus. Bistro has a great atmosphere and excellent food, as does Le Cellier. The food at Akershus was very good, and we consider it an excellent value -- on our first visit, we tried it and were so pleasantly surprised by it that it became a favorite of ours.

While we liked the food at Coral Reef and San Angel Inn, the atmosphere is really what shines about it.

If I had to pick just one place, I would choose Le Cellier because the food is excellent, the atmoshphere is nice, the service was good, and it's probably a better value than the restaurants in France.

Looks like I'd better put my 2 cents in.
We've enjoyed several World Showcase restaurants, including Chefs de France and Rose & Crown for lunch, and Le Cellier and Marrakesh for dinner. But my favorites are Garden Grill and Akershus. These are the two character meals, but that plays no role in my choice.

While it's a shame that Akershus has "gone princess", the lunch/dinner food was as good as ever when I went there solo in March. It didn't hurt that I had a dessert platter all to myself! (I think it is intended for four people.)

Garden Grill is the one WDW restaurant we go back to every year. While the food is unpretentious american cuisine, it is every bit as good as most of the World Showcase places. And the atmosphere is unique. Where else in WDW can you get your own private booth with varying scenery? The characters are just a bonus for us.

hands down Rose and Crown! :thumbsup2 the food is OUTSTANDING! i had the lamb and barley soup for and appetizer. SOOOOOOOOOOO good! Main course was the cottage pie! delicious! Dessert was the warm apple crumble! soooo yummy! i can't wait to eat here again ! our waitress was awesome and very friendly!

I have to agree with this. My personal fave is Bistro De Paris, but that has a lot to do with the atmosphere and it being an adult, romantic atmosphere.

But, as far as food goes? The steak at Garden Grill, to me, was much better than the one I had at Le Cellier. Living close to Peter Luger and Ruth Chris, Le Cellier does nothing for me.

The potatoes at the Garden Grill are to die for and we usually have to have another plate brought to us because of the potatoes alone.

DH and I both think Le Cellier feels like dining in a cave. We didn't like the atmosphere/decor at all, and we thought the food was so-so. It gets great reviews on the DIS, though.

We felt the same way! Our favorite is Chefs de France. We had a wonderful dinner there last month. The food and service were great! On our next trip we might try Rose and Crown?!

We have eaten at Nine Dragons twice. The first time years ago for dinner and not much stands out except for the beautiful dining room. Last year we ate lunch there and it was sooo good! A better deal at lunch too. We leave in 5 days and hope to try San Angel.

We like Rose & Crown, I like the Fish & Chips and DH likes the Bangers and Mash. The cast members are always very friendly and helpful and the views for Illuminations are great! Also lunch is a great value at Nine Dragons, I agree with the OP. Try their Orange Sesame Chicken!!

Le Cellier's atmosphere and staff are great. The food is very tasty, another great lunch value. Prices are of course much better than at dinner time. Happy eating!!

For us it's LeCellier. We've eaten there 3 times over the last 2 years and have had great meals every time. Great appetizers, steaks cooked the way I like and good desserts. We haven't tried all of the Epcot restaurants but have been to Teppanyaki, Alfredos, Chefs de France, Biergarten, Nine Dragons, Coral Reef and San Angel Inn.

We loved Coral Reef it was the best meal of the whole trip :goodvibes Awesome food! GREAT service.......very relaxing......and a view of the living seas :thumbsup2

I have always been hesitant to try 9Dragans. But I am beginning to see more and more positive reviews. I think I will give it a try next time.

Mine used to be Chefs de France until they deleted the duck from the evening menu, it's fairly bog standard main course choices for dinner now. Le cellier would now be my choice
