What is your favorite DVC Studio Room and why? I have always stayed in a one or two bedroom, but plan to book three nights in a studio prior to a week offsite at The Fountains Resort.

How many in your traveling party? Would two beds be better than bed/sofa sleeper?

OKW has two real queen beds in the studios. All other resorts are bed & sofa sleeper.

For a traditional studio arrangement...

BLT is the smallest studio, but I may consider a MK view for only 3 days.

BWV Village green location looks really nice.

My favorite stay in a studio has been AKV Jambo savannah view. But I could be swayed towards park / dining proximity on a shorter stay. (AKV concierge would be a nice dream, though)

Two come to mind:
OKW the size of the rooms can not be beat.
AKV Concierge
Have had great stays at both.

The only studio I would ever consider - OKW - because of two queen beds. A real bed trumps a sleeper sofa anytime.

I like the appeal of two real beds, but I like coming "home" from a long day in the parks and having a couch to sit on.

For me location and view is important so I'd go with BWV or BLT.

In the winter when swimming isn't really the reason for the visit, I like VWL and AKV for the ambiance of the resorts. (Although, I really like the villa pool and hot tub area at VWL and the pool is so convenient to the villas!) I'm spending solo time at both of those resorts this winter.

Do I have to choose one?!

AKV - Kidani Studio rooms are, in my opinion, the best laid out of the studios and that bathroom is huge for the room category! Doesn't hurt that I think the interior of the resort and it's big sister (Jambo) are drop dead gorgeous and where else can you hang out on your balcony watching stuff like this (sound warning - came through on the loud side and the fire alarm starts up at the end - sorry!)

I'm also very partial to the VWL studios, but not because of anything special in the room, but rather the resort as a whole & the boats to the MK

I cannot pick one over the other. They're both fantastic in different ways.

Also high on my list is BWV. I hate the clown pool, freaky chairs by the fireplace and odd chandelier - but even those can't dampen the wonderment of the resort for us.

For a single or couple, the queen and couch is the ideal setup. If not a couple, the 2 queens might be better especially with more than 2 adults. Location is also a factor. OKW is good for a quiet location away from everything but if you like to be in the "middle of the action" or walk to a park, others might be better.

I vote for OKW if it's beds and more square footage that you need. But my absolute favorite studio was at AKV Jambo. The studios are spacious and beautifully appointed. But I was there on a solo trip. :thumbsup2

I respectfully have to disagree with the OKW praise.

While we enjoyed the resort we would have loved to have the sofa instead of the extra bed so it does make a difference in the amount of people staying there. It's just my DW and I. ;)

Also, for us it's location, location, location. We love staying at BWV studios because we walk to everything we can walk to. The studios there are perfect for us.

We are also very excited to try AKV Kidani Village in January, but I'm worried we won't like using the bus 100 percent of the time.

Good luck with your planning. :thumbsup2

Stayed at OKW this year and will be back next year in a studio - It is myself, DH and DD who will have her 18th birthday when we are there in June. It is of course essential that she has her own full size bed at that age especially as she's so tall. If it were just myself and DH (which it might be next year:sad1:) then would pick somewhere a bit 'closer to the action' such as BCV where we have also stayed.

Lots of good advice. My party includes my wife and 16 year oldold daughter. I am also bringing my brother and sister in law along with their 16 year old son. I am footing the bill with my points. Prob get two studios. My daughter sleep in pullout everywhere but OKW

2 adults and a 16 year old, I would definitely "not" get BLT. Way too small.

In that case, I'd choose OKW for the 2 real beds and square footage of the studios. Well, that's not quite true. I would NOT choose the studios at all. ;)

No one's mentioned BCV. I really like their studios, especially for two reasons. For one thing, if you get a lock-off, the connecting door, thru which noise sometimes seeps, is up by the "front" door. When we've stayed at VWL and AKV, the connecting door was across from the bed. DH is a light sleeper, and this bothered him. The other thing I like is the little shelf just as you enter the studio, where you can deposit your room key and visor.

We just came back from a studio at OKW...second floor, overlooking the fifth flag...love eating breakfast on the balcony and watching people go in and out of the sand traps, close to bus stop, close to Turtle Creek Pool, we even walked over to DTD...boat ride back.
