We're going to be spending the day at one of the water parks and thought we'd go to dinner at Downtown Disney and do our "shopping" that night. Do you have a favorite restaurant at Downtown Disney? Why do you like it? Thanks for your assistance!

Planet Hollywood is our traditional first night restaraunt...blow the $15 voucher and then grab some Ghirardelli for dessert. Raglan Road also looks pretty good.

We like Earl of Sandwich. It's counter service that is very reasonably priced. The wait can be a little long but so worth it. If you like turkey, try the The All American - Roast turkey, buttermilk ranch, cranberries, cheddar cheese, tomato and lettuce YUMMY! They make them fresh so you can leave off anything you like. I always get mine without tomatoes and it is so delicous! I've also heard wonderful things about Wolfgang Puck Express but have never personally tried it.

The places I would avoid: Rainforest Cafe - expensive, long waits, and not really worth the price. Captain Jacks - I didn't care too much for this place. Wolfgang Puck Cafe - service not that great, food just okay.

I'll second (and third) Earl of Sandwich. We ended up eating there 3 times (our DQ day, our TL day, and our PI day). Of the 6 sanwiches we ordered I really liked The Original, All American, and Hawaiian BBQ.

We love the Earl of Sandwhich too! We have them at home, but something a little more substantial we really enjoyed the House of Blues. Look up their menu on Allearsnet.com, Yeah! for Jambalaya!!!

I love Earl of Sandwich. They have the best sandwiches that I've ever had anywhere. The All American and The Club are my two favorites, although everything I've ever tried there has been great. :thumbsup2

I've also heard really good things about Wolfgang Pucks Express, although I haven't tried it yet.

I'll chime in for Earl of Sandwich too. It was the first meal we had at Disney World and the food was GREAT!!

Were going to do Fultons Crab House this trip I think, so that will be new.

We also did Rainforest Cafe (except it was Animal Kingdom) and thought them to be extremely overpriced, not that great of food, and the wait was HORRIBLE.

Hope this helps. Have a great trip.

We did Raglan Road a couple of weeks ago and it was great. Nice space, good service, and really good food all around. Plenty of good beer, too.

We just love Raglan Road. We love the Shepherd's Pie and the atmosphere...it's pretty kid friendly, too...

We love the House of Blues.

It's a unique atmosphere and the food is good. I go for the Rosemary Cornbread and Jumbalaya. :thumbsup2

My kids like the brick-oven pizzas and my husband likes a couple of their sandwiches that I can't remember the name of right now.

Also enjoy rocking on the porch and people watching if we have to wait for a table.

Best Wishes!

We've done:

Raglan Road
Wolfgang Puck (not the express)
McDonald's (like you haven't had that before)
Rainforest Cafe
Earl of Sandwich

Of these, I'd definitely go with Earl of Sandwich. It was just so good! I like Wolfgang Puck's too and have been there numerous times, but for dinner, it's a little on the stuffy side to me. I much prefer lunch at the sushi bar.

First time to DTD coming up in Oct we made ADR at Planet Hollywood

is this a bad choice? I don't see anyone on here name it :(

Figured we get a $15 voucher and we might as well use it??

arrghhhh

Earl of Sandwich is my favorite

I also enjoy Wolfgang Puck Express and Raglan Road

Wolfgang Puck Cafe' was terrific! Even the kids enjoyed it. I have heard great things about Earl of Sandwich. Planet Hollywood has never been enjoyable to me. I've never been to the one at DTD but the one that used to be in Chicago wasn't great. I'm sure that's why it's closed now.

Raglan Road was very good when we ate there last fall. They also have live Irish music in the evening. A lot of fun. I can get a little loud with the music if you are looking for a quiest time though.

neither are TS, but are REALLY GOOD CS either Wolfgang Puck or Earl of Sandwich, then Ghirardelli for dessert, try the gold rush if you like peanut butter, ohh i could have one of those right now!!!

We have eaten at Planet Hollywood and it's okay. Standard food. Not great but, not bad either. The props can also be kind of interesting.
