Favorite Disney Movie not Represented in the Parks?

How about a ride at MGM where you zoom through several Disney animated movies like the Monsters Inc. door room scene, Robin Hood's archery tournament, Basil of Baker's Street's Big Ben scene or ride on Toby, The rescurer's flight or river chase, even Mr. Toad's wild ride...

My vote is for Lady and the Tramp. I love your idea though...maybe similar to the old Fantastic World of Hanna Barbera ride at US.

Emperor's New Groove. It's like the movie never happened.

If only that were true... Ah, the lean years after Eisner got rid of Katzenberg.

The Fox and the Hound. I love that movie. I also second the Rescuers. One of my favorites when I was a kid. :lovestruc

I just love the Aristocats  , although I don't think a full attraction could be dedicated to that movie alone (great, now the song is stuck in my head "Abraham DeLacey Guisseppe Casey Thomas O'Malley, O'Malley the Alley Cat")

Definitely Bedknobs and Broomsticks! A movie about evacuees in World War II - one of my favourite subjects for study while at university, AND it was the first Disney movie I ever saw. I still remember throwing up in the car on the way home (too much excitement???)

As I've posted elsewhere, I have pretty much the complete set of the British Fawcett Disneyland magazines published in the 1970's, thanks to my mother, who got them sent over weekly. This movie was the subject of an ongoing serial for years.....

Nightmare Before Christmas!!!! I want to lparty with Jack and Sally in the parks!
The only downside is that way to man "Goth" kids like Nightmare Before Christmas, and who wants a bunch of "I hate my life" 14 y/o's wandering the parks in July or August in their best black jeans and black long sleeve shirts, refusing to admit that they're hot because they're "cool".

Morons....

Sorry, had to vent about the goth... if nothing else it just doesn't make fashion sense.
Maybe you'll be happy when you're dehydrated.

I thought I was going to be the only one who said "The Fox and the Hound". It was my favorite as a kid. I have Tod and Copper tattooed on my ankle!
Everytime I go I look for SOMETHING. In Dec I found a pin so I had to start buying pins! I couldn't just walk around with one, could I??

I also love Emperor! When my dh went to Afgahnistan(sp) for war he took that movie with him.

And Summer Magic...ohhh I just adore it.
"All I wanna doooo, when the day is throughooo, is linger here on the front porch with you..." I love to sing along to that song on my Disney CD!!

As for Monsters. I was thinking a roller coaster-type that is centered around the 'Door chase' that they have with Randall. Those doors are on some cool tracks!

What if there was a theatre in the parks that just showed old Disney movies but on the big screen? I am not wealthy enough to have a movie theatre in my house, but I would love to see Fox and Hound on the big screen again!

Oh, and I get my Nightmare fix once a year at DL. It is my ds' favorite movie. Has been since he was 3.

Disneyland is supposedly adding a Monster Inc. ride over at DCA where Superstar Limo used to be. Also, Pete's Dragon is still in the Electrical Parade at DCA. And for those of you who love Nightmare Before Christmas, go to Disneyland and see the Haunted Mansion's Holiday version. Totally made over in the Nightmare before Christmas and its fabulous. Okay enough about Disneyland. My favorites are Bambi, Rescuers and Fox and the Hound. Love all of those movies but not sure how any of them would work into a ride or anything.

Oh, definitely Bambi. It's been my favorite since I was seven, which is more decades ago than I care to admit. I don't understand why they never mention it at the parks, cause it's considered a Disney Classic. And I just love the idea of the ride through Disney animated movies. That would be too cool!!

Bedknobs and Broomsticks!!!! One of my absolute favorites!!! :Pinkbounc

Does anyone remember The North Avenue Irregulars? A live action 70's movie with Cloris Leachman, Barbara Harris and Karen Valentine. I LOVE this movie! I watch it whenever I'm feeling down. It always cheers me up! Anyway---if anyone ever saw that movie, it would make a great bumper car ride!

I really liked "Escape from Witch Mountain" - I think that was Disney's.

Oh, man, all of those old 60's ones, That Darn Cat, Summer Magic and remember The Moonspinners? Also the Herbie movies, I can't bring myself to go see that new one when it comes out. I'm sorry, the old ones aren't broke, why "fix" them? Freaky Friday, That Darn Cat, The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes, The Shaggy Dog, Parent Trap, if you watch the new ones they aren't nearly as classically funny as the oldies. Even Flubber. It's like when they revamp a ride like Journey into Imagination. The new one stinks, literally and figuratively. I remember riding the old version for the last time when our girls were little. They were infant and toddler, absolutely enthralled them! I'd love some sort of a Herbie ride, with a runaway VW bug.

Emperor's New Groove is my all time favorite Disney movie, but I remember Pete's Dragon was my fave when I was a kid...that movie had just come out when I was there as a kid and he was everywhere!! Also the Rescuers were too.

Pete's Dragon, Emperer's New Groove, Princess Diaries, Oliver and Company, and Mary Poppins (surprised no one else mentioned there isn't something for this one besides just the scene in GMR).

Mr. Toad is another one of my favorite Disney movies, but the ride was not so I'm not too disappointed it's gone.

I love Aristocats too! It's my favorite disney movie!

For those of you who mentioned Monsters Inc., I always thought the door chase would be a great ride![/QUOTE]
Funny you should say that we thought of that when we were there in Nov. It would make a cool rollercoaster.

I like Brother Bear and the Fox and the Hound. Don't ask me what they should do though. I wonder if they'll come out with an Incredibles ride/attraction TOOTLELOO Kat :Pinkbounc

another Newsies fan! I know the whole movie practically word for word!!

I would love for Disney to have a Newsies Reunion!! who else would go!
