Post your favorite Disney Hotels, and give a reason why you love that hotel.

Ex. "Polynesian" - I love the tropical settings and the conveniance of the Monorail. My favorite restaraunt is there too, Ohana's. I like to take the Sprite boats around in the lake.

Love the smells, the look and that 'away from it all' feeling despite being smack in the middle of such a busy place! Boma onsight doesn't hurt either!;)

AKL - love everything about it; the unique smell, the lobby, just looking out at the savannah.

Poly - the monorail, the ambiance at night with the torches, the subtle polyesian music playing throughout the grounds.

We have two depending on what we are looking to get out of a particular trip.

When we are looking to relax and do some tours and just enjoy not being in New England or at work for a week we love the AKL. It just feels like home and we are from a city so sitting on the balcony and watching the animals is truely amazing.

When we are looking to spend some quality time at our two fav parks EC and MGM and some serious afternoon pool time we go for the EC area resorts. If we can get the YC at a decent rate we stay there but they have not offered good rates since 2000 in our view so the Dolphin is the winner for us.

............there we were. DH and I snuggled up on one of the couches in a little seating area, I think, on the fourth floor. Christmas decorations were everywhere. It was overlooking the lobby so we could see the Christmas tree also. We just sat there sipping our hot cocoa, wishing our kids could be there.........well, maybe not at that very moment, but eventually that they could be there. ;) :p

That's why we are trying to plan a trip to WDW for Dec./2005. We probably won't be able to stay at WL because we would need two rooms, but we will be sure to visit.

Love the Polynesian. It's the first place we ever stayed and we just loved the whole experience. The rooms, the GCH, the pools, restaurants, torches, music, shops, location, etc. As the years have gone by, the kids have got older and we are trying the Beach Club this year. I'm sure we will be returning to our "home", the Polynesian, very soon.

We like POR, but we love POFQ they are sister resorts.
The reason we love POFQ is because it is a small resort, we like the decor, than there is the boat to Downtown Disney, also the buses pick up and drop off there first. Oh and don't forget about the Beignets yum. :D

Since POFQ and POR are sister resorts you can use the pools at either resort. POFQ has 1 and POR has 6

My vote goes to the Polynesian Resort for all of the reasons stated so far but my favorite part is the ambiance at night... walking around the resort with the torches going and the feeling that the resort gives me... can't get any better!!

Hi,

I have a 3 faves so far!!!

POR: Gorgeous!!! Very relaxing, love the restruant for breakfast and the nightly entertainment!!

WL: Beautiful!!! Reminds me of where I spent my childhood!! Oregon & Washington. Makes me feel like a young kid again

Disney Hilton Head Island Resort: Just a nice relaxing place to be!!! Love the Beach house!

WL - We love the rustic atmosphere and ambiance expecially at Christmas!!! DH sits by the fire and reads a book while DD and I flit around MK!!! The Christmas decorations are beautiful! The food is good service is great, couldn't ask for more!!

My favorite Disney Resort is the one I'm in that moment. I hope to try them all.::yes::

My wife likes the Wilderness Lodge because of its beautiful lobby and earthiness. In the early morning, she loves to sit in one of their overstuffed chairs, have a coffee, and watch the people walk by.

I'll always have a fondness for the Polynesian. That's where we first stayed when the kids were little, and my in-laws experienced there first "real" vacation. Lots of great memories.

:)

Wilderness Lodge is the BEST!

It's a beautiful resort, and the theming is classis Walt Disney. It really compliments the frontier atmosphere of MK, and the boat ride to MK is way more fun than a bus.

Second... any of the reosrts in the Boardwalk area are terrific. The location can't be beat, having the best access to fun and food of any other resort at the world.
