Ultimately we all will order what tempts our specific tastebuds, but out of curiosity about what is generating the most buzz amongst patrons who have been on site more recently than myself (within the last 12 years!), I ask this:
What is your favorite dish in Disney World? Which restaurant is it in, why do you like it, etc.?
It can be anything.... appetizer, entree, breakfast item, dessert, whatever. And no need to posture towards sophisticated tastes.... if you'd rather have a hot dog at Beaches and Cream than fois gras at Victoria and Alberts, so be it!
Let's hear it! Maybe I'll get a chance to chime in after my trip in November......

Can I name a few lol?
The Calamari at Spoodles.
The NY Strip steak at Coral Reef.
The French Toast at Cinderellas Royal Table (my husband does not even like sweets and he loves this lol)

Ok let's start at my #1 favorite restaurant in all of Disney:
O'hana!
**Turkey Tips, Potatoes, Bread Pudding!

Le Cellier:
Filet Mignon

Crystal Palace:
Breakfast Pizza, Puffed French Toast!

Absolute Favorite:

LeCellier's pretzel bread dipped in their cheddar cheese soup :thumbsup2

A Mickey Bar while I am watching Spectromagic is a close 2nd :mickeybar

Oh my God I forgot about Mickey Bars! Suddenly I'm having memories of them. I know they're made of neither the tastiest ice cream nor the most delicate chocolate, but for some reason I'm imagining them now as the best ice cream bars on the planet!
And the ones you can get in the store are VASTLY inferior, from what I recall.
Thanks for reminding me of such a pleasant experience!

Right now it's the Maize Crusted Sturgeon at Jiko and the Blackend Grouper Sandwich at the Cabana Bar & Grill.

Before that it was the Pan-Seared Quail at Citricos.

My 2 must do every trip Favorites are the Tabbouleh Wrap at Tangeriene Cafe and the Anchor's Aweigh Tuna Sandwhich at Columbia Harbor House.

Bread pudding at Ohana ( cant wait to try it out at Raglan Road and I dont even like bread pudding)

Pork Tenderloin w/root hash chutney at 50's Prime Time

Filet with mushroom risotto at Le Cellier

Chocolate Fondue at WGP Cafe

My absolute favorite is the BC Marketplace's gelato (extra favorite is if it's pistachio). For meals, I loved the maize crusted halibut at Jiko's, so I'm anxious to try the sturgeon there. I also love the butternut squash soup, which is available at both Mara and Boma. I like either, but prefer Mara (probably because it's cheaper!). And although I'm not vegetarian, I'll always get the vegetarian shwarma platter at Tangerine Cafe, another fave.

The Lamb Shank at JIko. Perfectly cooked, pretty good portion, flavored just right!!!

The filet and Mac 'n Cheese at Jiko.
I cant't wait to have it again in October.

I've seen a lot of buzz for the filet at Jiko, and the pictures do look good. My girlfriend has already decided that when we go, that will be what she orders!

The filet with red wine reduction over macaroni and cheese at Jiko! That is my favorite.

to prove to you I do have a photo:rotfl:

4 - Kid's burrito and chips at La Cantina de San Angel
5 - Crab Cakes at Olivia's Cafe
6 - Cheeseburger and fries at Beaches and Cream
7 - Pot roast at 50's Prime Time Cafe
8 - Srawberry Swirl at the Enchanted Grove

and I am sure there are many many others :cool1:

The Hollywood Brown Derby. Dinner.

Grilled Atlantic Salmon on green garlic polenta with gorgonzola, balsamic glaze and Sicillan olive tapenade $24.00

Right now it is Mahi Mahi at Kona Cafe. mmm, only a couple weeks until I have it again!

Breakfast: Tonga Toast - Kona Cafe @ Poly

Lunch: Colony Salad - Liberty Tree Tavern in MK

Dinner: The chicken wrap at Pecos Bills in MK. I never get tired of that thing!

Snack (but really it could be a meal in itself): Tie between School Bread from the Norwegian bakery in Epcot's WS and the cheesecake from the Main Street Bakery in MK. *drools*

My DS 17 LOVES the All you can eat skillet at Whispering Canyon. He is a BBQ nut and devoures several servings of ribs dripping with extra BBQ sauce of course.
