Favorite discontinued food?

Soft pretzels shaped like the old wdw symbol (globe w/ ears),
fruit juice in plastic containers shaped like fruit.

Beavertails

When the Mahi Mahi ala Veracruzana at San Angel Inn was served with chipotle mashed potatoes vs the boring rice it has now

creativity on the menu....that's what I miss most.

The pan seared ostrich appitizer from Jiko. We can't even come close to re-creating it.

I think the thing I'm gonna miss the most is CRT's Major Domo's Favorite Pie. It was my favorite thing on their lunch menu - well, it was my favorite thing they had in general.

I too miss Figaro Fries - they were amazing.

I also miss the chocolate cream cheese buckle from CRT. It was delicious!

I just remembered something else-the peach tarts at Boulangerie Pastry. I've asked several CMs in the past few years, but no one can ever remember seeing them. Yet, they're still listed on the menu, but I think that's only because they're afraid of the uprising if they admit the peach tarts have been discontinued.

It took you all 5 pages to finally name Breakfast Lasagna! That stuff was amazing. We would do breakfast at Crystal Palace every visit. Now I am trying to decide if it is still worth it. And they replaced it with some kind of peach junk. Sad day!

Oyster Brie soup from The Brown Derby. They haven't had it in years, at least not when we've been there. It was always a must do. We were there this year and weren't too impressed. I had the Lobster Bisque which was OK, but they drizzled this strange green oil on top of it, which ruined it for me.

While it was not the best "juice" - I love the fruit juice served in the plastic containers that looked like fruit. Orange juice for sure. It just tasted better to me as a kid.

Twinkie Tiramisu from Pop. I would have it every morning for breakfast:sad1:

I can't believe that this is gone!:scared1: I think the recipe is in the back of one of my Disney Restaurant books. I'm going to have to try to make it.

Back before Kona Cafe was Kona it was Coral Isle Cafe- they had a chicken sandwich type dish called Chicken Mairori - or something of the sort. It was like this sweet battered chicken of deliciousness on a bun. It was so long ago, but I can still remember my whole family being bummed when Coral Isle closed. :headache:

Also, in the Land pavilion they used to serve a green frozen drink called a Jiminey Cricket. We had it one trip, and by the next time we went back, it was gone. Gone, but not forgotten. :sad2:

Didn't read the whole post, but I miss the tortellini bake at Il Mulino. Used to be on the lunch menu but they took it off earlier this year. :-(

I miss the mahi-mahi with jasmine/cashew rice from Coral Reef. Now they serve it with hearts of palm instead, which I loathe.

Figaro Fries... those were just evil. Miss those too :)

And the peanut butter & jelly pizza from Chef Mickey's.

I miss those delicious feirgo fries from Pinocchio Village Haus, we went there this time and they have something similar but they are just not the same :(

crab cakes at LTT, shrimp wontons at Ohana, lobster tails at Coral Reef

It has gotten to the point the where I am afraid to say I love anything at WDW, because it then goes away. I am so tired of their mass produced food products, and miss the items you could only get at specific places.

This is exactly how I feel...I am afraid to love anything for fear that I'll be extremly disappointed...it's happened many times :guilty:

I really miss the southwest chicken pasta from WCC...the chipotle sauce has been replaced with olive oil...

I also miss the Fountain View Bakery in Epcot..DH and I would catch a few rides then go have some sweets...so relaxing and a distant memory.

The prepackaged desserts...YUCK  bring back the homemade chocolate cake from Flame Tree BBQ!!!!!

DH and I used to leave WDW and salivate for an entire year and talk about all the fantastic food we had...now I am lucky if we do that twice a year..so sad:sad2:

choc chip muffins from the Chip & Dale breakfast at the Fort. I remember going to the last breakfasts there and stuffing my face w/ those muffins. Sad sad day when they eliminated the muffins and the breakfast :(
