Favorite discontinued food?

I miss the days of when the desserts were made on site not the prepackaged items they are now.

When they had a Souffle of the day at California Grill, the different drinks at lounges, mickey mouse butter.

I really liked the Concourse Steak House. Sad it is not there anymore.

WDWO

ok, I will name a few more than Tusker House. Beaver tails in Canada, chocolate pie that could be found at several CS locations. The deli stack sandwich at Cosmic Ray's, Ham & Cheese at Columbia Harbour House, & Ham & cheese on a pretzel roll at Sommerfest (I detect a pattern here--I love a good ham & cheese!). One that may only be known to Coronado Springs fans-the delicious steak fries they used to serve throughout the property, replaced by a very mediocre skinny fry substitute! Oh, and breakfast at Tony's Town Square!!!

The breakfast lasagna at CP. When we were there in March, I was so hoping to have it, but they said they stopped serving it a few months ago. Whether this is temporary or not, I don't know, but on my first trip to WDW in 98, we made a spontaneous 2nd trip to CP just for the breakfast lasagna!

Also, the Yachtsman Steakhouse used to have this amazing cheesy garlic bread. I'm bummed it's no longer on the menu there.

1. The bread - I can't stand these new hamburger and hotdog buns.
2. Figaro Fries
3. Beaver Tails
4. I don't know the name of it, but it was a raspberry and almond cookie served at Biergarten. I still crave these cookies.

I miss the fried cheese app from 50's Prime Time the most. It was delicious Brie that was served with some crispy french bread slices and strawberries.....so, so, so yummy.....I get such cravings for it....UGH! Why do they take away all the good stuff?!?!

I also miss the Tollhouse cookie sandwiches and the maple filet from Le Cellier

Oh, those Tollhouse Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Sandwiches from the ice cream carts. The last time we were there (Aug 09), we looked all over the AK for them. We had a tradition of eating them at AK in the hot sun--they always melted just right, making the cookies softer. We tried them here in California once, and it just wasn't the same...

I did find them at the resort store last year (BC Marketplace), so I got one there. I'm not a fan of the one made out of the just baked cookies with the ice cream squished between two cookies. I like the premade, prepackaged ones better.

I miss the jalapeno cheese pretzels they used to have at The Launching Pad in the Magic Kingdom. Used to eat at least a couple each trip.

we got these pretzels at HS about 18 months ago. does anyone know if they still have them there? They were at the counter service stand that looks like a boat out in front of Hollywood & Vine. I have drooled over that spicy cheese pretzel and cold draft beer more than once since then!

also miss the Figaro Fries from PVH. :sad1:

I would have to say for me it is French Toast Loaf from the Main St. Bakery. We bought this every time we visited the MK for 20+ years.

Oh french toast loaf, how I mourn your loss!;) It was SO good and the next time I went, even though I knew (from Dis'ers) that they no longer had it, I asked why it had been discontinued. I was told that it was, 1: too time consuming to make, and 2: not profitable enough? I found #2 hard to believe.

chicken parm sandwich @ Pizzafari.

I don't know if I feel lucky to have had both of these items once, or sad as they are no more!

There are two items that I desperately miss - one is the duck two ways at Le Cellier. I know they now have an alternative but it is not the same as that lovely, slow cooked duck leg :sad2:

I also miss French Toast Loaf, even though I never got a chance to try it. I am sad that I will never have a chance to try it :sad1:

I miss the Breakfast Lasagne at Crystal Palace, it was amazing!! I also miss the fixing station at Hollywood Studios(Was MGM then) near backlot tour, amazing burgers with onions, mushrooms, lettuce and all the fixings you could want with you burger! Now it's all McDonalds rubbish

I liked the Conga juice drink at the old Cantina de San Angel, and the corn chowder at Tusker.
