Favorite Dinner selection

I wasn't really thrilled with any of the dinners. I like my meals kind of plain, not with spices and gravies. But we did have a desert at Trition's and if they don't have it in September I will cry like a baby right there at my table. It was called a White Chocolate Raspberry Dome and it was amazing. We kept going on and on about it and our server offered to send a couple back to our room with us, and stupid us declined. We won't make that mistake again.

I've never considered myself a fish lover. I like fish but I usually tend to prefer meat. Having said that, I must tell you, ALL the fish entrees were "excellent"! The other seafood was good, too.
My favorite dessert was the creme brulee cheesecake from Parrot Cay! I am definately going to ask for a piece (or a whole cake!) to have for a midnight snack or breakfast! IMO, everyone should at least try a dish you would not normally choose. If you don't like it, you can get something else that sounds good. You might find a new favorite dish!

Sea Bass, Lobster Tail at Captain's Gala, the Lobster wrap appetizer, the caesar salad, the crab bisque soup from France, the steak. And ANY desert!

Best appetizer: Glazed Chicken Wings (Parrot Cay) & Lobster/Shrimp Wrapper (Animator's)

Best Entree: Pork Tenderloin with smoky white corn cream and baked squash (Best of menu)

Best Dessert: Creme Brulee (Triton's)

I am getting hungry!!!! :D

Escargot at Lumieres....creme brulee cheesecake....fried calamari and filet mignon at Palo

Be bold and daring .... dont listen to what people suggest. THE FOOD IS FREE... so dig in and try what you want. I must say i had the white chocolate raspberry dome too... splendid!! But like i said... you dont get to treat yourself to this kind of food all the time.. so try a little bit of everything. The duck was good also. Have someone else at your table order something youd like to try... then try a bite of theirs. If you dont like yours but enjoy theirs... your servers will glady get you something else. its great! HAVE FUN!

I believe that one of the kids on the upcomming cruise will be asking for that dessert EVERY night (well at least the 3 nights of the "normal" menus)

For me it was the maple glazed salmon - and I usually don't like fish. Go figure!

I actually didn't have anything I didn't like - it was all good but I thought the salmon was the best.

Potato Crusted Grouper & Glazed Chicken Wings from Parrot Cay.
Baked Alaska for dessert. Yum!!!!

I can't wait to go back!

My midwestern palate really enjoyed the ribs at Parrot Cay--the lobster and shrimp wrapper was good as well for an appetizer--the best dessert was the grand marnier souffle with chocolate sauce! We have only been on the Wonder so I'm hoping the lobster tail gives these choices a run for their money in 2 weeks!

I loved some of the pasta dishes...can't remember them and just got off (6/5 Magic 7-day):teeth: go figure...

What I do remember and I'm not a big sweets person was the white chocolate strawberry cream cheese. I believe it was one of the special themed nights that they do on the 7-night cruises, but I want to say it was one of the nights we were in AP.

It was wonderful, because of the fresh strawberries it wasn't so sweet that you couldn't enjoy. Melted in your mouth!!!

Boy, I wish I was there still! Need some more dough!

Do you feel silly at all asking for another entree if you don't like what you ordered? My DH had some type of fish at Parrot Cay but it didn't seem like it was cooked. He wouldn't ask for something else. I think he ordered some room service when we got back to the room. I think I would be more willing to try something differant if I didn't feel silly about asking for another entree.

I know there were a couple of times the kids didn't get what they/we thought they were...
but I knew our servers wouldn't have thought us funny/fussy by asking.
On any cruise, I will definitely make sure all of my family members know that DCL aims to please and if you don't like the way something tastes (to you), ask for something else.

They want you to be able to RAVE about everything!

I ordered the maple glazed salmon but made one HUGE mistake before ordering.... I had a very sweet fuzzy navel-type drink....Couldn't eat but one bite of the salmon..... Out it went...So I ordered the lobster wrap, I think....that tasted funny, too...and out it went...Gasp, all those starving children...So I tried a bit of ice cream sundae...Well, after the two attempts at eating fish, that sundae was a non-starter...It went out, too! That drink ruined my dinner! Must have been the conflicting sweet flavors.....well, better luck next time!....and no sweet drinks!

Good lesson here - stay away from the sweet drinks before dinner - stick with wine or beer.

gshoemate - you should never feel silly about ordering something different if you don't like the first entree - they are more than happy to bring you something different if you don't like what you've ordered. Be more adventurous in your dining selections and you might be pleasantly surprised. Personally, I have never tried lobster - never liked the way they looked but on my next cruise (with NCL) I intend on trying the lobster knowing that I can always order something else if I don't like it.
