Favorite dining choices for adults only trip?

Oops forgot Homecomin' on check out day. There or Sanaa depending on what we are feeling.....

I should have added that my now adult children are going with us on our upcoming May trip and we are excited to try Boathouse and La Hacienda which will both be new for us. And we are all excited to try some bars/lounges as everyone is now 21! Trader Sams and Jock Lindsay for sure on our list. :yay::drinking1

We (my adult son and I) do La Cava and Tuto Gusto just about every trip and I go at least twice a year. He loves tequila and they have some good flights and I've never met a guac. that I didn't love. We both love wine and like to do wine tastings around world show case. Tuto Gusto is great for somewhere to sit and get a small plate or two along with some great Italian wines.

We try to mix up where we eat and try not to repeat anywhere but almost always eat at HBD every trip, lately that has been at the outside lounge. We also love Tiffins in AK, bonus the Nomad Lounge is a must do for us so if we haven't been there to eat during the trip, we will go there for drinks before eating at Tiffins. It might be one of our favorite restaurants on site. Being from New York it's going to be hard to wow her but we love both of the TS restaurants in Morocco in WS in Epcot. Spice Road Tables is more casual small plates type place with med. type food while the inside TS restaurant is more Moroccan.

Keep in mind the service at most WDW TS restaurants can be hit or miss. We've had good to great meals at places with bad service and that was o.k. We've had o.k. meals but great service and that was good for us. We've had o.k. meals and bad service and those are the places we don't return to, or at least won't for a number of years. We have always had good service and good food at the ones I mentioned.

Honorable mention to V&A's but only if you want a fine dining, expensive and long meal. We did it last year and it was around $750 for the two of us for the 7 course meal in the main dining room. We did both have the wine pairings so that added an additional about $100 to each meal but well worth it.

Third floor rooftop outdoor deck at Paddlefish in DS is our new favorite place. The view is incredible and the cocktails and appetizers are great!

What did you think of Highway in the Sky? Was it worth it? Haven't done it, but it sounds fun.
Not who you asked, but I loved Highway in the Sky! I did it solo in December and it was fantastic. The food portions are quite small, but you get so many things that by the end I was too stuffed to finish the main course. I'm going to do it again in May with DH.
As for OP's question, I ate at the Boathouse for the first time last weekend and it was awesome. I generally think the food at Disney is overpriced for the quality, but that place was worth every penny.

Good to hear about both experiences- are you going to write a review of either?
We've eaten at Boathouse each visit and love it to but decided to try Yachtman the next trip for a change of pace.
Highway in the Sky sounds like a real adult like meal.

I have an adult sisters trip planned for early May. We are going to Boathouse, Edison, Citricos, Cali Grill brunch, Maria and Enzos and Raglan (among others).

My adult favs have been Cali Grill with fireworks and Jiko, both really memorable. Tried Il Mulino but it was soooo loud and we had a terrible table. We basically ate in silence because it was so loud and we were so far apart across our table we couldn't hear each other! We couldn't even sit next to each other because it was in a walkway on one side and next to a pole on the other :headache:. Another more common place that we had a nice adult only meal at was Les Chefs in France and also outside at Rose and Crown.

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience at Il Mulino. We've been there several times and its never been that loud or crowded. Maybe we got lucky? At 7pm on a Friday last fall, it was half full and we could talk easily without needing to talk loudly.

I did a sort of review/trip report (not a formal one) back in December. It's somewhere in the adults/solo travelers thread. I've never done a formal review or trip report on here but maybe I should! I feel like I don't take enough pictures/notes to write a good one, haha.

As a Bonus tip, if you do spend sometime at Disney Springs one of my favorite bars is the Hanger Bar but I have also like the Bar that is attached to the Edison

This is on my adults night out list for the next trip. (But I'm a huge Indiana Jones fan)

My first time was with my husband the end of October of last year and we loved it. Going this November with my daughter and niece and I am getting tickets for the three of us. It is expensive but I thought it was well worth it.
