Mine doesn't have a contrasting liner. It looks like these new ones do have a different color inside.
I packed mine a lot like dis-happy. There are a lot of places to tuck a bottle or sippy cup in this bag. I used to hang this bag on the handle of my Graco Quattro Tour Stroller. It would probably tip a Mac if you put too much stuff in it. I also hang it on my Baby Jogger City Mini with no issues.
If you want something smaller that night fit in the Mac, you might want to look at the Lands End Little Tripper:

Thanks for recommending the Land's End Little Tripper. I got it for a great price (20% off and free shipping), and it arrived a couple of days ago. It was only $19.60 before tax. Although after seeing the bag, I would have happily paid full price for it.
I haven't had packed it up yet since I still have awhile to go before the baby gets here, but it looks like it will be perfect for short trips out. I will probably buy a larger bag for all-day trips. (I'm debating on the LL Bean Baby bag or eBags Bundle Baby bag for that.)
It reminds me a lot of my Overland Equipment Donner bag. (Which, incidentally, I bought for Disney and ended up liking it so much that I carry it everyday now.) It's the same basic style, but larger. I like the 2 collapsible bottle pockets on the side especially. The front parent pocket area zips around 3 sides and inside it has a key lanyard, and 4 separate slots that you could use for your wallet, cell phone, small camera, or for small baby items. There's a open back pocket that the folding changing pad fits into perfectly. Oh, and the key lanyard stretches like a phone cord, so you can still have your keys attached but open the door with it. Very handy feature.
The big inside pocket of the bag is lined with a light blue fabric, so it's easy to see things. (I got the medium blue bag even though I'm having a girl...it appears to out of stock at the moment though.) There are 2 smaller mesh pockets in there, and 1 larger mesh pocket.
There's also a sturdy zippered wet bag included, but in my opinion, it's a little too large for the bag itself. The description says it's for wet wipes, but it's way too big and stiff for that. I'll try using it, but I'll probably just end up using a gallon sized zip-lock bag for messy emergencies and a normal portable wipes container.
The bag has a long strap, so you could wear it cross-body if you want. The strap is made out of a stiff seat-belt type material, but it feels like it will soften up with wear. Another nice feature is the double zippers on both the main compartment and the front parent pocket. That's convenient if you're trying to open a bag with only 1 hand. The zipper pulls are large enough to easily grab too. The inner lining is cloth (I dislike plastic) and looks like it would wipe off to a degree. The description says to spot clean only, but I see no reason that the bag couldn't be put in the washer on gentle cycle. I would probably drip dry it though.
