Favorite Deluxe Resort and why

My favorite deluxe resort is the Polynesian.... Feels like a home away from home to me. I love the smell from the minute we step off the magical express... Volcano pool, beach, ferries, boats... But most of all seeing the castle across the lake while watching fireworks...

We have stayed at Wl, GF, Poly, SSR and this time BC. So far WL is our favorite. We like the theme and lobby as well as the proximity to WL. SSR was our least favorite as it felt like a moderate to us.

No contest - Polynesian hands down. We absolutely love the atmosphere and of course you can't beat being on the monorail, close to the MK

Gah! I don't know how anyone can pick a favorite. Right this second I'd say BWI is my favorite, but it's close. I love the rooms. I love the CMs. I love the location. I love the views. I love the atmosphere on the Boardwalk.

I'm eager to go back to CR now that they've updated the rooms a bit. And when GF gets a little refurb? I suspect it would knock BWI out of the top spot.

We're trying YC for the first time next month. We'll see if it's a contender....

We stayed at WL the first time we went. We really enjoyed it as well, but once we stayed at the Poly, we were hooked... We will be returning there May 28 to June 3rd and are very excited! Have a magical night!

Beach Club was the first resort I stayed at in 92 over Christmas and no trip will ever compare to that trip so the Beach Club will always be in the running but I will have to say the BWV, its my home DVC resort and the atmosphere and the feeling I get when I'm driving up to the entrance to check-in which is usually at night with it all lit up make it my favorite. Going out on the Boardwalk at night watching the performers and everything that's going on is a great way to end a day. Plus its next to my two favorite parks Epcot and DHS.

I can't include Poly because its the only deluxe or Dvc that I haven't tried.

My favorite is BWI.

We've stayed at AKL, WL, BC, GF, and Poly and while we've had great stays at all of them, the Poly is our favorite. We love the Poly for the relaxing tropical atmosphere, the large rooms, the volcano pool, the beach for watching the fireworks, and having a view of the castle from just about anywhere on the Poly grounds . Captain Cooks is also our favorite resort CS. Having stayed there only once, that was enough to get us hooked.

Only have stayed at AK Lodge, (kidani? the dvc one? sorry, I forget) and I loved it. Lots of activities for the kids, great view, awesome restaurants. Great time. Good price!

Can I pick two? Contemporary Resort for sentimental reasons (first onsite Disney hotel with our girls, our "home base while they were very young) and Grand Floridian. Our first GF stay was also when they were quite young and CMs were so sweet to them. Loved everything about the resort, the morning "maid parade", the old 1900 PF character meals with Mary Poppins, Beauty and Beast, Peter Pan and Captain Hook, the peaceful feeling when you walk in the lobby. The convenience of both to the MK cannot be beaten either.

The only deluxes we have stayed at are WL and YC. Both were wonderful, but the WL edges the YC out overall. We wish they could uproot the WL and plop it in the YC location and it would be the perfect resort.

We are planning on trying the Poly next year now that it's being refurbed. Can't wait!

So far our favorite is the BC...LOVE the location. Thinking about trying WL this August (if I can make up my mind and actually stick with it ). BUT next year, the plan is to try the Poly! My youngest DD turns sweet 16 next year and she has already informed me that a week's stay there is what she wants as her gift which is more than ok by me as I too have always wanted to try it .

Love both the Poly and BC. Depends if I am going to be spending more time in MK or Epcot.

For sentimental reasons my husband loves Poly. For me, I love WL. We've also stayed at AKL and GF. We would really like to try BC next time though.

We've stayed at GF, Poly, CR and WL. We have a trip planned to AKL. Each of them have their pros. I love the atmosphere of the Poly and the GF. The CR is extremely convenient. WL is a great price for the location. We had dinner on our last trip at the AKL and fell in love with the decor and the animals.

So each of those is a favorite of ours for different reasons. We haven't stayed at the Poly in a long time, so unless we really fall in love with AKL, that will probably be out next stay. However, I'd love to try one of the Epcot resorts too.

My favorite is BLT. You just cant beat the location and monorail! Plus, with dvc, i dont worry about the price tag to stay there!

Poly has been our favorite for about 10 years. You just can't beat the relaxing atmoshere and convenience of the monorail and walk to the TTC.

BUT...since our favorite parks are Epcot and DHS, we're staying at the YC this year. Hoping we like it as much as the Poly.

Which deluxe.....hmmmm....

We've stayed at AKL, GF, Poly, YC, and WL.

All CL stays, AKL and YC we were upgraded to suites

I LOVE GF, but that said, for overall theming and the grounds...it's between WL and Poly Poly has the wonderful castle view from the beach, and WL feels nice and secluded. CMs, well WL has the advantage over Poly.

So as long winded as that was...WL is my favorite!
