I've discovered since I moved to Florida that scattered showers or even scattered t-showers are the every day occurance. Some days they happen, some days they don't. Hopefully if you have to have them (of course I'll be sending the pixie dust to the Magic) they will be the 5 minute variety. There is always a beautiful rainbow after them.
I forgot to tell you, we had some interesting rain clouds down here, I'd never seen them before, or at least different from anything I had seen in Minnesota, must be a tropical thing. So I took some pictures and I'll scan them and e-mail them to you for Michael. I thought Mr. Weatherman could figure them out.

Thanks for the info about the daily rain - it was a mite disconcerning that my son would be "walking the plank" if his weather forecast failed!! Must be a big change for you to have this type of weather!! At least it's not snow!


I am hoping that this cruise, I will be able to get Giorgio as our server. Again, that is done if they have the room to move you and IF you get to the dining room change program scheduled at embarkation.

Fidilio is still my favorite entertainer! Dueling Pianos!!!!

Ok, I've got new favorites.....this trip was AMAZING once again due to the CMs.

Servers.......this year we had a great experience with Sompong from Thailand and Joel from Phillipines.....now I understand why DISers rave about their servers. Please request these guys if you can!!!!

Our stateroom attendant, Elmer from the Phillipines, was very nice and did an excellent job. We also loved our assistant server, Annie-Marie from South Africa. She had been a server on another cruise line and just joined DCL a couple of months ago.

Servers - WOW! Alex from Phillipines, Giorgio from Brazil, Roberto from Peru, Andrea and Zuran from Hungary.......sooo many others!

You must meet Joy, Tri and Malena at Sessions and Off Beats! Fabulous!!

This was our 2nd Cruise and the crew was excellent once again. Our servers were the best. We had Deepak from India who does magic tricks every night and Pieter from Belgium as assistant. Favorite entertainers: Rich Purpura (so funny!) and Anton and Fidelio in Dueling Pianos.

I guess I should add MacLean as well, he was our favorite head server!!!

I totally agree about Maclean - when I went up to Dining Room Changes, I told him, "I want on your team, Mac!" and he smiled!

Yes, the others are all very nice - but Maclean is one in a million!
Not only does that smile knock you out, but he maintains his professionalism but a charming personality throughout! There wasn't a night that didn't go by that he didn't stop before and after our meal, and occassionally during to check on things!

Our servers were Alex, from the PI - and Giorgio, from Brazil (whom I specifically asked for since he was Michael's favorite magician!) - they were fabulous!!!

So many other servers are wonderful, it's so hard to say that just one is our favorite at this point!!!!!

MacLean was the only head server that we've had who wasn't too stiff or serious. I think you're right, it's his winning smile!

Just back from the 8/23 Eastern- We had Roland from the Phillipines and Bayoki from Thailand as our server/asst. server. They were great!! They worked so hard. They had our drinks on the table when we arrived. There were extra straws and swords and cherries for dd. Nadege from France was our head server. Very good, she knew our names and our table number on the second night !! We had Kristian from Croatia in Palo's for Brunch- fantastic. Our room steward- Sean from Jamaica was great. It was so nice having someone else tidy up every day.

Can't choose just one, so going to add my favorites in, our server was ROBERTO from Peru, assistant server was PRUDENCE from Jamaica, and our head server was TOMMY from Norway, all were "EXCELLENT" and treated us with such class. We really enjoyed Roberto's nightly tricks at dinner. By the second night, we didn't need to order our drinks, Prudence brought them to the table the minute we sat down, and Tommy was making a fuss over our DD, he had her blushing on several occasions.

Our room steward was CLAUDE, it seemed as if this man worked around the clock, everytime we turned around his was busy doing something. Our room was very neat and tidy, and we really enjoyed our towel animals at night.

I can't forget TANYA from the DCL Terminal, what a sweetheart she is, she kicked the cruise off in grand style for me. Thanks Tanya, I'll never forget your, "I got him, I got him, I got the captain." I know my face must have changed 15 shades of red that morning, but it was worth every second of it.

Oh Yes, can't forget KRISTIAN from Croatia, our server for our DIS gathering for brunch at Palo. He treated us like royalty!!!!! He kept the food flowing and flowing and flowing!!!!!

We can't wait to go back next August for another MAGICal Cruise!!!
