Favorite CP Narrators

If you could see of the narrators this year on the night you went to the CP who would be your choose?

James Avery. Saw him twice and no one has even come close to his telling of the story - great voice!!!

I agree. Robert Urich (God rest his soul) was great too, mostly because you could see how much he was enjoying the choir and he sang along quite frequently.

Louis Gossett (sp?) Jr is also very good.

Thanks for the replies,please keep them coming I have a choice of 5 different narrators some are more convenient than others with the plans I already have scheduled but I really want to see a good narrator or maybe even 2 and I need to book a CP package 8/15 so I realy appreciate everyones advice.

Wish I had rearranged my schedule when I was there to see these too...My friend had rave reviews for both...I saw Robbie Benson...he was good and a daytime soap opera star Rob Morrow...he was OK..

We saw Gary Sinise on Christmas Eve last year and he was fantastic!

We saw Brian Dennehy in 1999 and it was very good, however, the kids had no idea who he was of course. We have always wanted to see LeVar Burton. This year we will be seeing Gary Sinise....yeah!

Gary Sinise. He was fabulous! Last year we saw Kirk Franklin, and he was only so-so...

We saw Gary Sinise last year on Christmas Eve. This year, we will see Haley Joel Osmond (DD's choice) and Jim Caviezel (my choice).

Jim caviezel was really great last year. I'd love to see Gary Sinise but there is no way I'm going Christmas week.

I have seen Lou Gossett, Jr (he was good but not on the list), Edward James Olmos (twice - he sang along with the choir...very cool) and Gary Sinise .... and a woman that I can't recall anymore. All were great. Gary Sinise did have a lot of crowd interaction after the show. Made reference to the troops - recognized some military folks in the crowd (who had indicated they saw him during his trips overseas), etc.

The show is so awesome, I think almost anyone would be great!

No Gary Sinise this year. WDW just took his name off of the list. He might have a new movie during this time.

I really liked James Avery, too.

Has anyone seen/heard Cicely Tyson? She will be there on the best night for us to go, all though we could change our plans around for Jim Caviezel. Plus, we would prefer not to go on a Friday. We had planned to go on a Tues so that we could do the dinner package. If we go on Fri, DH will be with us and he will not do the dinner package because of the cost. I don't know who she is although her name sounds kind of familiar. Thanks.

Now mind you, I've never seen the CP, but I do know that almost ANYTHING Cicely Tyson does, in my humble opinion, is basically GOLD! That being said, I suppose you could take it with a grain, but I thought I'd offer my 5 cents!

Cicely Tyson is probably best remembered for her role in "Roots", but has done many wonderful things. She was in the Rosa Parks Story and the Harriet Tubman story. She was recently in "Because of Winn Dixie". I couldn't begin to name everything she has done. She is an excellant actress! I haven't seen her do CP, but I would bet that she will be wonderful.
