Anyone care to discuss your favorite concierge at WDW and why?

Lots of people have posted about different concierge experiences there. I think you will find it to be most informative.

And if you have any specific questions, just ask.

I really like the CM's at the BWI, but I am gunna go out on a limb and say that the AKl's concierge experience is just GREAT! The whole experience is just soo relaxing and makes you feel like you are in another place.

We mostly do the BWI with concierge because of the location and the Deluxe room they offer.

I have stayed at the Poly, YC and BWI and BWI is by far my favorite concierge level, I just them all there

AKL and the BWI

I have stayed at ALL the deluxe resorts CL levels and for a LOONG time, got into all the hype about GF CL. Heck I stayed there for a month one year. But then I went to BWI CL - and I aven't been the same since.

The nicest, most courteous, infinitely knowledgeable CMs anywhere. Bar none.

i am staying one or two nights at each concierge the end of dec beginning of jan i always wanted to do this and i'm finally doing it.. i don't even care if i go to the parks.... just gonna sit and relax and enjoy myself...

Gail, I really do love the BWI, actually Jackie introduced my son to a gal who goes every Christmas like we do (he can't wait to see her, it will be the 4th Christmas they have done this, she asked him to her junior prom last year, maybe this year since they are seniors we will let him go) O.K. now I feel like a trader haha

Everyone should try AKL just for a day or two on the end of your trip

My favorite concierge experience is the Wilderness Lodge. We did a concierge stay at WL at Christmas one year and it was perfect. The high lobby and supertall, decorated tree w/ the fireplace and roaring waterfalls was perfect with the Christmas theme. I found the nicest CMs to be at WL cl...and the offerings were plentiful and delicious! I remember having a portuguese bean soup one night that was wonderful. We had a view of the castle from our seventh floor room and I loved eating breakfast while overlooking the festively decorated lobby in the mornings. We got all the little towel shapes, some like angels which were especially cool. It was great.

The concierge at the Beach club was lovely but the concierge room is really small and doesn't have any particular view except of the front/side of the resort. The food offerings were good but not as delicious as WL (could have just been what happened to be offering during our respective stays as both offered quite a bit of food). I loved the espresso/ cappucino/ latte machine at BC which I didn't notice at WL, but overall, at BC I'd probably spend the extra money for a water view (the Boardwalk lit up at night is great) and eat next door at all the wonderful epcot eateries (we LOVE Canada and France and even those Fish and chips).

I was disappointed with AKL's concierge service, probably mainly because it was really hyped up to me (I read so many glowing reports of it) and didn't understand the hype. It overlooks the lobby the same was WL does, so that is neat, but I thought the food offerings were better at WL. I guess I just wasn't as into the stuff like dunbar chicken and hummus and the like as I was into the WLs artiste pointe fare. Also, while our room was much larger and we had a gorgeous savannah view, there were chronic technical problems during our stay...our original ressie was lost, our sunrise safari reservation lost, we were checked our early and checked off housekeeping and turndown service lists, we were overcharged for the sunrise safari, etc. It was crazy! We've paid much, much less for stays at moderates and/ or the Swan/ Dolphin w/o any glitches whatsoever. A CM on DIS explained that it sounded like our ressie file was corrupted which caused the ongoing issues, so I bet if we stayed again I might have another opinion. But as it stands, it wasn't the smoothest experience and definitely not worth the extra cost. We also didn't get any towel animals or any extra special hospitality (at Beach club and WL the CMs were exceptionally nice)--nothing to make the experience stand out in any way from getting a regular room. I did really like the cappucino machine and the yogurt smoothies, yum. Again, I'd save the extra money for CL and go for a savannah view and go to BOMA or Jiko for the food, and still come out ahead .

I'd love to try BWI's concierge and GFs concierge, and even the Contemporary's 14th floor CL with that great MK view. Lots to look forward to .

Just returned from the BWI CL and GF RPC - and the GF wins hands down.
What I love about RPC: the comfy couches and many little seating areas, listening to the grand piano or orchestra, the view inside of that glorious lobby or outside to the beautiful courtyard and lagoon, the plentiful and varied offerings and the warm, professional CMs. BWI was nice and the CMs were very friendly but it did not have the upscale pampering feel I get at GF. ANd if I'm splurging on concierge, I like it to really feel like a splurge!

What does RPC stand for? I thought your description of GFs concierge sounded great, and I looked up prices and I saw sugar loaf (which I know is not RPC), main building and main building deluxe. Is the main building deluxe much better than regular main building concierge? It's just my 5 year old son and I, so we don't need any extra room--just a great environment!

Ladyhawke10 - RPC is Royal Palm Court which is concierge in the main building. Check out Tammi's post on the following thread for a good description and a link to some floor plans:

I think a regular concierge room would be fabulous - we just lucked out with the upgrade to deluxe. Our room was like the diagonal floor plan shown on the site Tammi referenced. The AP rate and complimentary upgrade brought our price down by over $100. We just loved it there!
