Favorite coffee?

I love pure Kona Coffee. I get beans shipped from https://koacoffee.com/ because we cannot buy pure 100% Kona grown beans anywhere near where I live (just the stuff that calls itself Kona coffee on the labels but then you read closely and it's a 10% Kona blend, lol).
:lovestrucLove Kona, and agree it's pretty impossible to buy in regular grocery stores. I prefer an acidic/fruity flavour profile for coffee, as opposed to something flatter and more earthy. The qualities depend on the location/soil the beans are grown in so the kind I like must be high-altitude/mountain grown arabica variety. Most times those words are featured on the package but anything "Colombian" is pretty reliable. We've been brewing McDonald's ground for several years and like it best of anything that's available on the mass-market and at a medium price-point.

I'm a big fan of flavored coffee and my favorite is Bones Coffee. https://www.bonescoffee.com/

They do discounts often (I believe there's a 20% off coupon right now). Their Pumpkin Spice is really good - I buy it in batches and drink year round. I also recommend Carrot Cake (sold around Easter to Memorial Day), Cinnamon Roll, Peaches and Scream, French Toast and the Vanilla Caramel one.

We have a small roaster/shop a few hours from here, close to our property up north. They are SO good, so I stock up whenever we are up there. I love strong, fresh coffee, and they provide!

ETA: shop is called The Outpost, coffee is "The Living Room". If you're in NW Wisconsin, highly recommend!

I’ve been buying Great Value decaf for a few years. It’s fine. I’m not a coffee snob.

Santo Domingo - you can buy it on Amazon. It's from the Dominican Republic. I first had it on a vacation there, and now I drink it all the time. I love buying it whole bean and grinding it. Sooooo good.

I've gravitated towards Maud's Coffee k cup variety pack (Coffee Lover's 40 count) from Amazon. I preferred their flavoring in comparison to Brooklyn Blends variety count. When Costco has a good deal on their 72 count variety pack name brand k-cups (which I'm presently going through) I by that.

Great Value is actually pretty good so I've gotten that in the past. Presently we really only buy their Medium Roast Decaf which is quite good IMO.

We for almost 2 years bought from a local shop that does their own blends and purchasing of beans (and will grind the coffee based on your method of brewing) and doubles as a homemade chocolate shop however we paused that when we purchased from another local company (although much much larger) at Costco a special local blend because it was 2lbs worth but we'll go back to that other smaller local shop once in a while in the future, they have significantly raised their pricing (through no fault of their own, just pandemic-related transportation costs, etc) and it was hard to continue to pay $18-$20 for 12oz.

Oddly (or I guess it's that way for us) we recently found Whole Foods we found has a good espresso decaf blend and the slight Prime savings a nice feature.

We have 3 different coffee things: a Keurig, a pour over and newly an espresso machine (not an uber fancy one but not the extremely basic that barely qualifies as espresso).

I use the keurig during the week and while we have reusable filter I hardly use it and stick with k-cups.

We use the pour over with a finer grind for our weekends.

We use the espresso machine whenever we feel like it but largely with decaf beans (presently the bag from Whole Foods), since it's not used for our morning cup of coffee, that we use an electric grinder for.

I most prefer non-flavored and dark roasts. I don't mind some flavored coffee but find I just don't get that coffee flavor as much as one with just notes of flavors based on growing area and particular blends. My husband prefers light to medium blends. One thing we agree on is Starbucks is too bitter for us. I do find that variety packs allow for discovering what suits you and what brand suits you. I tend to try to stick around $0.50 or so or less per k-cup to keep costs in line when trying different companies.

That's my brand too - regular and decaf. I do like the better specialty coffees, but too cheap to buy them, given how much we drink. Our grocery bill is going up crazy high as is, since we eat lean meats, fish, whole grains, etc. It's so much cheaper to eat the junk.

I like variety from small roasters so I have a subscription through Trade Coffee. If you are looking to try a variety I highly recommend it. You fill out a profile, select a grind or stay whole bean, and can see your queue and make adjustments.

The two best coffee's I've had through them are Doma's The Chronic and Dune's Santarossa Blend but I've only had one I didn't really like.

Cafe du' Monde chickory coffee To me it's a strong flavorable coffee. I like strong black coffee. I get it by mail and Meijer grocery store carries it.

I tend to stick with the Costco k-cups. One daughter likes the yellow box. DH prefers the green box. I don’t care. Occasionally I’ll buy some holidayish flavored cups from aldi or Trader Joe’s or Starbucks/Dunkin.
