Ok, I just heard Whitney Houston's version of Do You Hear What I Hear? in the car. I make sure the windows are closed and pretend to be a respected gospel singer when that's on.
I don't think Mannheim Steamroller is cheesy at all.
For me there is so much good stuff that it's hard to pick a "favorite". I just listened to Manhattan Transfer - GREAT Christmas Album. I also love the Windham Hill and Narada Christmas Albums and two by EricTingstad & Nancy Rumbel called "The Gift" and "Star of Wonder" (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...102-6246457-1958531?v=glance&s=music&n=507846). Also, just picked up, of all things, the Jethro Tull Christmas album. Very Nice. Dave Brubeck's is good too! ( Too much to choose from!!)
I have way too many faves to mention, but right now I can't get Harry Connick Jr's latest Christmas CD out of my player. His version of Santa Claus is Coming to Town is really great. As soon as it finishes, DD4 begs to hear it again. We go down the road jamming and singing along at the top of our lungs.
I love Trans-Siberian Orchestra as well, but my favorite traditional album is Martina McBride's Christmas album. I'm not normally a country fan, but she has such a great voice. No extra fluff, just the songs the way they should be sung.

I also love Martina's Christmas CD, well I love any CD by Martina...My other favorite is Alan Jackson's Let It Be Christmas. It's all traditional songs but that one new song by him. I love it.
OK, before I said I didn't have a favorite. Boy was that a misunderestimatable statement. Just now listening to it! Stan Kenton's Christmas! Have been listening to it since the early 60's a and just got to it this season. The BEST! Check it out if you've never heard of him/them. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...104-2981971-9703103?v=glance&s=music&n=507846
Okay, thanks! I heard it first with a woman singing it. Someone called Aslyn something??? But that must be the same song, because I think that is the same title (just heard it again on the radio the other day) I will have to check out his version of it. THANKS and Merry Christmas!
