I like the traditional, classic stuff. These are some of my favorite albums:

Perry Como - Christmas with Perry Como
Bing Crosby - White Christmas
Andy Williams - The Andy Williams Christmas Album
Burl Ives - Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer (all the songs from the cartoon)

Also, for those of you that would like to listen to Christmas music 24/7, you can listen to a radio station's website www.WNIC.com. It's all Christmas from the first weekend in November until Christmas. I have it running on my computer all day.

I am a die hard BNL fan and absolutely LOVE their holiday CD Barenaked for the Holidays. I'm also a huge fan of the Very Special Christmas ones, with #'s 2 & 3 being my fav followed by #1... the VSC "Playlist" one is a nice compilation of volumes 2 & 3 along with the acoustic Christmas and is a good way to get all 3 cheaper than buying individually.

2nd the vote for the BNL CD. Also really like the VSC #1 CD.

I'm also a big fan of the Mannheim Steamroller Christmas CDs, especially "Fresh Aire Christmas."

If you're looking for something off the beaten path, look for the Brian Setzer Orchestra's "Boogie Woogie Christmas."

On the country side, Patty Loveless does a bluegrass/Christmas CD, "Bluegrass and White Snow" that is cute. And Martina McBride's Christmas CD is wonderful--her version of "O Holy Night" is the best, IMHO.

Wow! Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm going to make a list and then see if I can hear samples online so I can decide. I have the Bing Crosby CD but the kids get tired of that after a while (I could listen to it all day ). I think DH has the Trans Siberian Orchestra one somewhere and I love that.

I too have more than I can list. I think I have at least 100 CDs! Every year I say I don't need anymore, but then I pick up a few more. This year I want to get Taylor Swift's one. Both DD10 and I like Taylor.

I love the standards I had as a kid-
Bing Crosby-White Christmas
Bobby Sherman's Christmas Album
Partridge Family Christmas Album. (Though I was definitely a Bobby Sherman fan while my older DSis was for David Cassidy-we used to argue who was cuter!)
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

I also like the "newer" ones as well. Neil Diamond, Barry Manilow, Streisand, Country Christmas Favorites, etc.

I like to get the compilation ones (Target) Both the Country and the Stars ones. I also like the older Special Olympics (1987) Christmas one. Some of the Transiberian Orch. ones are good. For background music I like instrumentals ones.

I pretty much like all Christmas CDs except those that really mess with the song 'til you don't recognize it.

I bought it on Black Friday from Amazon for $5 and I have to say I love it. But by far my favorite is Trans Siberian Orchestra's Christmas Eve.

James Taylor's Christmas album is a favorite for our family. Michael Buble has an EP of Christmas songs that I got off itunes that I love.

This is the BEST!!! Mine is actually called Disney Swingin Christmas and it features the Glenn Miller Orchestra. Definitely our family's favorite - even the kids.

I also have to mention Josh Groban's Christmas CD....he is incredible

I absolutely LOVE their Christmas music!

I'm listening to a very eclectic mix on my ipod -- Bing Crosby, Johnny Mathis, Percy Faith Orchestra, The Carpenters, Straight No Chaser, BNL, Sting, etc. So much fun mixing the classics with the new stuff!
