Favorite Christmas music CD?

I just got a CD by Vince Gill that I really like, because it has one of my favorites on it called "Let There be Peace on Earth". It's a good one!

I like to make my own on Itunes. But if you are going to buy one I LOVE the Carpenters Christmas album.

Christmas Sessions by Mercy Me. Their version of Silent Night is my favorite but the whole CD is amazing.

For sick and fun either the South Park cd or Twisted Christmas
For classic Josh Groban's "Noel"

Peter Mayer Stars and Promises. He has two versions - one was recorded live. You can hear the music on his website:
http://www.petermayer.com/
Click on "audio discography" and you can select an album - start with Stars and Promises Live

Check it out. It's awesome!!

"In the Christmas Mood" is a great album by the Glenn Miller Orchestra. Mostly instrumental, with a classic big band sound.

Also enjoy "Verve Presents: The Very Best of Christmas Jazz", featuring John Coletrane, Mel Tourme, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald and many more.

Among those already mentioned I especially like the James Taylor, Harry Connick Jr, and Vince Guaraldi (Charlie Brown Christmas).

A favorite of mine is by an acapella group, Four Shadow. They've since disbanded, I believe, but their CD still might be available. They're stuff has been on ACATunes, like iTunes for acapella groups.

If you're like me and don't like the cold and snow...Kenny Chesney's "All I Want for Christmas is a Real Good Tan" is a good "beachy Christmas" CD! It always makes me wish I was at Castaway Cay :cool1:

Right now I really like Season of Song, which is a Disney CD, but there's nothing Disney about it, just traditional Christmas music, played around Disney World by the Holiday Orchestra, Christmas Brass, the Don Scaletta Trio, and the Disney Dickens Carolers.

Vanessa Williams 1st Xmas album is awesome. Her second one is just soso. It's been out since around 1987 and I still listen to it. It has a little "soul" to it and some great duets with Aaron Neville.

Time-life treasury of Christmas. A 2 cd set of classic christmas music. Bing crosby, sinatra, andy wiiliams, etc, "old school' as the kids say these days lol Also Any of Amy grant's christmas cds are wonderful

I can't believe someone else put The Partridge Family.......

I had this album. Had it from when it was released in the 70's until a few yrs ago!

I also love Vince's CD. Also love Jewel's "Joy: A Holiday Collection"

Put me down for the Charlie Brown disc with a side of Mannheim Steamroller.

Another vote for Trans Siberian Orchestra :thumbsup2. Saw their show a couple of years ago-very good!...

Yeah, I had it on vinyl as a kid. Remember the actual Christmas Card that came in it? The CD doesn't include that, sadly....

Mariah Carey's Christmas CD is one of the best. I love it. Also I back up BNL's CD and Harry Connick's.

There are so many good ones! For compilation CDs...the That's What I Call Christmas ones are good, as are the Home Alone Soundtracks.
