The Food Network is running a special on Christmas cookies, and I'm getting inspired to bake something new this year.

What are your favorite Christmas cookies?

Who has a "can't miss" Christmas cookie recipe?

Walnut Snowballs are my favorite. I haven't been inspired to make cookies yet though. Maybe I'll watch tonight. :goodvibes

We make sour cream sugar cookies for all holidays. They're the best for using cookie cutters and decorating.

My favorites are Russian Tea Cookies

Same thing. My mom makes them and they are delicious! Had one tonight. Also she makes Candy Canes which are like sugar cookies in the shape, but with peppermint flavor. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I have a sugar cookie recipe for cut out cookies that I got from my mom, who got it from a friend of her's at least 40 or 50 years ago. I make them every year. And I have some of the craziest cutters - armadillo, Mickeys (of course), state of Texas.

My most favorite cookies ever, Christmas or otherwise, are my grandmother's butter cookies. They're a rollout & cut type cookie made with butter (obviously) and lemon and are fabulous. I also like the spritz cookies she used to make (and that my mom makes now); they've got an almond flavor to them.
