Favorite Cheeseburger

I'm going to cheat and name a burger that's not from a national chain because absolutely nothing compares to these. Also, I think it might be allowed because it's near you, OP. Anyways, I love the cheeseburgs at Swensons Drive-In in NE Ohio. Yummmmm

yep there alone at the top, but I didnt want to include local ones, because everyone would act like there local place was the best there ever was, but yes me and you do know Swenson is incredible

I swear I've never even heard of 5 Guys, but thanks to the map, I've just learned there's one 5 miles from me!

I'll be trying this very soon. Thanks for the tip.:)

I have to vote for Five Guys and for Fuddruckers. We have to hunt around when we're in other areas for a Five Guys. We don't have one anywhere near us. I think the closest one is in Chesapeake. But we have a Fuddruckers very nearby! :thumbsup2

Kind of a tough one for me. First choice for me would be a 1/3 pound bacon cheeseburger, medium rare from Fuddruckers. Using a knife, add a dollop of ketchup and mayo on each and every bite. Heaven! Oh drooling now! Planning on having one on Tuesday. Mmmm. And second choice would be a bacon and egg cheeseburger with ketchup from IHOP. Yeah, I know, burgers at IHOP! But it's so yummy! And the fried egg on top adds something extra special. I know what I'll be dreaming about tonight! :goodvibes

Another vote for Cheeburger Cheeburger!

The sandwich is called The Semi-Serious; and I like it with lettuce, tomato, and catsup.

Wow, I am so glad to see all the positive feedback on Five guys. We just seen this place last weekend and thought it might be a pizza place or something. So i know that we will be trying this hopefully very soon.
I am very excited about it now:cool1:

We had 2 cheeburger cheeburger within a 5 mile radius. Both closed last month. I liked the burgers, but never was fond of the buns they used. But I do miss the shakes, and onion rings:lovestruc

White castle, they were the bomb at 3am. Dont know if they still exist anymore. Now I like the Red robin burger with the fried egg in the middle, but cant remember the name of it.

I think it is the Royal Red Robin burger.

I have to add another place -- Lone Star Steakhouse. DW Lauri and I had lunch there yesterday and had the best cheeseburgers. I had the Willie burger with monterey jack cheese and it was definitely one of the best burgers I've had from a chain place. :thumbsup2

The best thing is that right now (at least here in Richmond) they have a special on Saturday -- their gourmet sandwiches are $5.99 from 11 to 4, including fries and a drink. Great deal for a sit-down restaurant burger. Plus all the peanuts you can eat, and a hot loaf of sourdough bread and butter.

My Favorite is...

Big Daddy Bacon Double cheeseburger from Goodtimes.

2nd place goes to the Super Sonic Cheeseburger from Sonic.

Silly East Coast People......
Never heard of 5 guys but I have had Steak and Shake, Red Robin and or course McD's, BK, Wendys etc. IMO Fuddruckers is all about the bun, the burger is ordinary but the bun is extraordinary!

The number one burger hands down is:
The Original Tops, Pasadena, CA
Tops Special - Grilled burger, american cheese and mustard topped with pastrami, lettuce, tomato and (for me) hold the onion.

Followed by:
WhatABurger #1 - Original w/cheese:
100% pure American beef with mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and onions. (hold the onions)

And last but not least:
In-N-Out Burger
Double Double - w/pickles, w/o onion and animal style fries
Hubby prefers a double meat w/grilled onions

I agree with all those mamacatnv.

For me, whether you choose onions or not on a In n Out burger the grilled bun picks up that yummy oniony flavor from the grill and it is just sublime.
