I love all of your pics everyone! I wish I had taken more creative pics of the castle during my recent trip to the world, but I was so rushed to fit everything in!! I can't wait to go again, I'll have to make a point of taking more pics - maybe with a different camera, mine isn't the best for crisp looking shots like all of yours! Maybe a fugi Finepix becuse millers are wonderful!

Can't wait for the gold to be off the castle as well, I love the classic look although I do think that it looks pretty right now!

I used a manual setting for the fireworks and night pics, and a combo of auto and manual for the day time shots. It kind of depended on how long I had to take the shot, I didn't want to be in the way too much. That's a whole other thread!
I did not use a tripod. I just did my best to steady on a nearby trashcan, or the handle of my stroller.
Good luck with your digital. The best part about digital is that you can really play around with it at no extra expense. Take a million pics...trash the ones that don't come out, but you'll get a few great ones too! I love my FinePix. My poor old Nikkon SLR is sitting in the closet now, gathering dust

I've Got a FinePix too and love it! I've been taking all kinds of pictures to experiment with the differrent settings. I've also come up with my own camera-holding techniques to prevent camera shake. Your picture are beautiful!
