What is everyone's favorite character breakfast? We have been to Ohana and had a really good experience (outside of the wait time for our ressie), but we want to try something new. It will be for our daughters 5th birthday, but we want something our 8 year old son will enjoy too. Thanks!

Akershus, no question. I think both your kids will like it. Garden Grill is not as good, but it's still quite good and has Chip and Dale and Goofy. Both come with the added bonus of being first in line for FEA or Soarin, respectively, if you get an early enough reservation.

My favorite for breakfast is Cape May. For most people, which characters are there makes a difference-the main reason I'm not a Crystal Palace fan. I'm not a Piglet fan.

Our favourite is Garden Grill hands down. The character interactions are so fun and the food is hot and fresh. I also appreciate that it’s served family style so we can sit at our table and relax during the meal. We also enjoy Tusker House but it is quite a bit more noisy and hectic.

Cape May was our favorite. We did O'hana's and the food didn't come close, the place was packed (and it's huge) so the interactions were slow to come and quick. Cape May was just a great experience and the buffet style is so much better than the 'family' style that O'hana's does. We did Tusker House and Akershus for lunch so I can't comment on the food but both had good interactions.

My favorite is the Bon Voyage breakfast at Trattoria al Forno. You meet Ariel/Eric and Rapunzel/Flynn and the food is delicious. It’s also a plated meal, so you don’t have to go back and forth to a buffet and worry about missing the character visits.

Akershus used to be our favorite, but now the Bon Voyage breakfast has moved into the top spot for us. We also like Tusker House breakfast a lot. All three of these places have good food and great character interaction.

Edited to add: tip for Tusker House is to book a late breakfast so you get brunch instead (both breakfast and lunch items will be out and you are (or at least we have been) encouraged to try food from both meals).

My favorites are Garden Grill at Epcot (Mickey, Pluto, Chip, and Dale), and 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian (during breakfast there's Alice, the Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins, Pooh & Tigger) Both places had excellent food and great character interactions. If the kids have any particular character favorites that could help narrow things down as well.

No offense but out of all the options, i wouldnt exactly "recomend" Akershus for an 8 yr old boy. Only because at that age, my son would give me a hard time about going. :lmao: Sure while there im sure he'd have a good enough time. But he'd put up a fight for sure.
And i respectfully disagree with you about Garden Grill. Hands down one of my fave breakfast meals.

Garden Grill is my ultimate fave. Food is so fresh and delicious. The variety is awesome! Plus i adore chip/dale. My second fave is Cape May. Nice and quiet, lovely offerings. Pretty awesome. Tusker House has good food BUT you could wait forever if you want to see all the characters. I had a not so good experience once. Missed two characters by a hair and ended up waiting forever, even thou we were done eating. I didnt experience that at all at Cape May or Garden Grill. In fact at GG i saw the characters twice! It was so nice. :)

Yeah one of the chipmunks circled back because my daughter was so tired and fixed on the food, she didn't even acknowledge him. The character interactions were awesome there, she insisted on showing Mickey her shoes and he went along with it.

crystal palace is my favourite breakfast. we try lots of different restaurants, but it isn’t a trip to disney if i don’t get a bit of breakfast casserole!

i don’t know how your kids will feel about the characters, but if they like winnie the pooh you’ll have a great time :)

We have done all of them and Bon Voyage was our favorite. The food was very good and it is the only place to meet two of the characters unless you possibly attend a party.

Bon Voyage is easily our favorite breakfast. We have been several times and have always had great character interaction. Food is great also.
