Graham is my last name - I was Graham cracker all through school. Oddly enough, we think "that"Graham may be a distant relative. Dad's name is Alexander, btw lol

Sorry about the graham cracker thing:rotfl: LOL, my grandfather's name was Alexander. He was a professional soccer player in Scotland..that's my great claim to fame:rotfl: Wait...your dad was Alexander Graham? Bell? :rotfl:

I like Grayson the best. I have a Christopher with a C so I'd like that better but with a K it's an accepted spelling. I just didn't choose it as it reminded me of Kris Kristofferson. He kind of bugs me so I chose a C even though all my other kids start with a K.

The only think I can think of with Jaxton is that he and you will have to pronounce it and spell it a lot. I'm sure people will always think he is Jackson. So you'll find yourself saying, "It's like Jackson with a T".

Really? Never heard of it being spelled that way. Or I missed the sarcasm!

I really like the name Graham. Reminds me of Angela Chase's father on My So-Called Life. Quite handsome! Classic name.

I like Grayson, too. That one reminds me of the guy on Cougar Town. Definitely a preppier name.

I do not care for Jaxton.

I voted "Graham Miller." And I obviously watch too much TV! Haha

I always thought the name Graeme was pronounced grame where as graham is pronounced grayam.

I only know one of each and they pronounce their names differently. Anyway, I like graham.

Guess I'm the only one so far that likes Jaxton. I think its a great name! Sounds strong and manly. I would call him Jax.

I'm a big fan of Graham Greene, so I'm going to go with that.

One thing to think about: do you want your son to have a nickname? Because my guess is that Grayson is going to be called Gray and Jaxton, Jax. I'd make sure you like the sound of the shortened names as much.

Above and beyond that, though, I tend to go for classic names. I think both Grayson and Jaxton--and especially Jaxton--are going to seem dated quite quickly.

Just a quick story, not a judgment on the name, but just an interesting experience I had.

Flying on the plane to Orlando this year, a mother and young child were seated behind me. The Mom repeatedly addressed the child as Grayson. I was shocked when I got up to leave the plane and discovered that Grayson was a girl.

(FWIW, I voted for Graham. I tend to favor more classic/traditional names.)

I always thought girls were Gracen. I know someone who named their daughter Grayson and I can't stand it. Grayson is totally a boys name. The meaning of Grayson is "son of Gray" or "son of the gray haired man."

Except that that makes no sense (your comment makes sense, I mean the theoretical attempt at clarification wouldn't make sense to others, because...), as there's no place one would put a 'T' in the name Jackson, so first, that'd stop most people who can spell, so then, 'and an 'X,' I think it'd just go round again, like 'wait, TacksonX?' 'No...'

I agree Graham. It's a name.

Folks here would pronounce Graham Gram.

Grayson Kristopher has so many possibilities of shortened and cool names. I voted for Grayson Kristopher!! Gray, Kris, Topher, GK, Sonny, Kristoph...there are endless options. The others, not so much. Also, imagine a President or CEO named Grayson. Good name for children AND adults.

I like Grayson but I have to say it reminds me of the child from The Nanny Diaries, if you ever read that book. He was a sweet child but his mother was the mother from you-know-where.

I don't like Graham, it reminds me of Graham cracker, and I am not crazy about Jaxton either, although Jax is pretty nice.

See, if she was spelling it Jaxson - VERY popular thanks to the tv show SOA - I would be all over it. But the T thrown in there, it just doesn't flow easily out of your mouth.

The name Grayson just makes me think of the Grayson family on Revenge. Great show.

I won't vote for 1 but please not Jaxton! Ugh! Hate it & eventually you will too like all the others who name their kids something modern & "cool" or a hybrid name (I won't mention the names for fear of offending 99% of the population, all of whom are trying to be different but in the process are really just like everyone else). Like every clothing & hair fad you will look back & say "what was I thinking?" They've done studies & I don't remember the exact #s but well over half of parents have "name regret" & if they could go back they would have chosen a different name. That being said I STILL wanna name a kid Wadsworth but anyone I've ever dated & discussed kids with have shot it down. So I'm passing it on to you. Just keep in mind there are some perverted connotations associated with the name (as intended). Also shot down: Cletus, Enos, Roscoe & Boss Hog. Someday my Princess will come who may allow it!

This

I vote none. I dislike them all. Jaxton is the worst.

And this.

I voted for Graham. I think Grayson is okay although it makes me think of Dick Grayson from Batman and Robin. I also like Kristopher, though the ones I've known who didn't spell it with "Ch" actually were Kristofer, so the "ph" looks a little odd to me. Like others, I would avoid Jaxton. I initially assumed it was a typo and and that you actually meant Jackson. If I heard someone say it I would think they were mispronouncing it. I suspect you would run into that fairly often.

The three last baby showers I went to were for a Grayson, Carson, and Weston. I'm pretty sure a Jaxton will be popping up eventually.

It's going to be very strange in a few decades when all these Aidens, Jaydens, Kaydens, Carsons, and Graysons become fathers themselves. They'll probably name their own sons Michael, John, and Thomas! :thumbsup2
