English beer -
I love Guinness. At the Rose & Crown. I know it's available just about everywhere (I had 2 the other night at the pub across the square from my office) - but it just tastes MUCH better at the Rose & Crown than anywhere else. Bass Ale is good. Try Woodpecker cider - it's interesting. I'm personally going to try Harp for the first time.
Canadian beer -
Molsens (sp?) & Moosehead! 'Nuff said. I've never really liked Labatt's but I will give it another try.
Norwegian beer -
The Great Unknown for me. Never had a Norwegian beer. Maybe this time will be my first?
French beer -
??? (for different reasons). The only French beer I've ever had was a Blonde Bombshell but don't know what brewery made it. I was told it is Parisian, maybe a microbrewery?
Moroccan beer -
Casablanca is the only one that sticks out in my head. Sounds like I need to do some more exploring in Norwegian, French & Moroccan beers.
American beer -
Yuengling - It's a Philadelphia-area brew - the oldest in the U.S. I'm not sure if it's available at the American pavilion. If it's not, then this is my official petition to start having Disney serve it (as it's very historical and all)!
Sam Adams, oh yeah - they're doing a "history of beers" seminar
German beer -
Lowenbrau - mm hmmm. Sponsors Oktoberfest every Fri, Sat & Sun night in the German pavilion. Heineken is also always welcome at my table.
Chinese beer -
Tsingtao - actually the original brewmeister (is that the correct term for a Chinese beer?) was German.
Mexican beer -
Corona, Tecate, Dos Equis, Negro Modela. Mmmmm mmmm good.
Japanese beer -
Kirin is OK. I really like the heavier tasting beers (duh) and Kirin doesn't get it for me.
Oh yeah,
I'm not a wine person.
No opinion 'bout that.
