Now that I'm done w/ the diaper bag I'm back to a purse & I know I need something DL friendly. Pockets for stuff...easy grab camera spot...comfortable to carry.

Any must have purses for the trip?

Hey there...I just found this great purse/backpack from Nine West & Co at Macys (sorry I don't know the name of the line) . It came in Tobacco brown and black. There are four small pockets inside for phone, etc and one zippered part too. The outside has one zipper compartment with a heavy duty zipper. It was about $55.

My mom got me a long purse (maybe 15 in. long and 4 in. in height) organizer that circles or wraps the inside of the bag. It has several small pockets for lipstick, pen, tissues, nail file, wet wipes...whatever. it leaves the center of the bag open for a wallet or snacks. She bought it from Bed, Bath and Beyond for me.

The combo of the two together are great. The bag isn't stricktly a backpack but the straps are easily carried like a hobo bag. I just used it on a week in Washington DC and it was great. Good luck....I love purses but it's hard to find a great one!

I went out and bought a leather mini backpack from Target for under $30. It was the best investment for the park. It was small and light and comfortable to wear. Everything was accessable as it has several compartments for your money, camera, extra batteries for the camera etc. Being leather (Even fake leather would work), the bag was water proof for the water rides. I also found it extremely easy to store when you went on other rides such as Soarin cause it was small enough to easily fit in the underseat compartment.

I got a baggellini for our trip, and I LOVED it. My favorite feature was the small pocket on the chest strap- it was just large enough to hold our parkhoppers, our room key, our shuttle passes, and some cash. I never had to search for those things, or worry that someone behind me might slip them out of my purse. Also, I didn't have to take it off to get on rides. I just swung the bag arouhd so it was in front of me. I LOVED it. Got it at Bagsbuy.com for $20-ish.

I agree that a good bad is essential. We purchased an Ameribag from a local store (small town). SIL went with us this last time and bought hers online. One of my other SIL must have had a baggelini (sp?). She put her cell phone in there, put it on vibrate and didn't miss a call.
