Am I doing something wrong? I can never seem to find any deals on this site yet my son comes home daily and tells me of all the great things that he has either seen or bought. Am I looking in the wrong place? I usually check the deals of the day. Is there someplace that is better to check?

Yep, the hot deals forums are where I always look.
There is a search feature (box called "Title Search")for the forums that is very helpful if you know what you are looking for. Once you get your search results, the far right column will tell you how many days old the thread is. This is helpful because if you see that the thread is 100 days old, the deal is probably dead and you can ignore that thread.

Tim has wonderful forums, they are VERY busy! When you go to his site, if you want just coupons, then click on the coupon link on his main page. The forums are busy but you can find deals there if you are interested in stuff other than coupons.

My dh is always finding great deals there. I went on last night for the first time in a long time and found that great Kitchen Aid deal and just about fell out of my chair trying to get it posted on the DIS!!!!

I really enjoy going to fatwallet and looking at the free stuff section. I've gotten some cool stuff for free.
