....so what are you going to buy your dad, father-in-law and your husband? I am fresh out of ideas so I would love to hear what you have planned.

I may have something for DH, it is my dad and FIL that concern me the most. My dad has zero hobbies and the only hobby my FIL has is golfing. Ugh.

I am running out of gadgets to get my DH. I do not know what to get him this year. MY father will get a golf gift cert. it is his fave. My FIL will be my DH's job...I dunno what to do :(

Oh Glo, I envy you, I wish my DH would take on that job. I asked him a month ago and his response was I dunno! I asked him today and I got the same answer. I told him we were running out of time, and I got no response.....ARGH!

DH is getting Disney Dollars to help fund our trip(s). :teeth:
We arent big on gifts so we take occasions like this to stock up on what we really need.

Well, I am taking my husband for a romantic dinner in NYC which he knows about. What he doesn't know is that we will be staying overnight at The Rhiga Royal JW Marriott, on a nice high floor with a view of the park! I am toying with having a limo pick us up and driving us into the city.

DH is a fishing nut!! We have a pond right outside our house.
The kiddies and I are getting DH a fish finder from Bass Pro Shop.
We will probably take him there to buy it with a gift card we'll get him ahead of time. He loves this store!!! And we'll take him out to dinner afterwards.

And also this week I'm having the kid's pictures taken at the Picture People with their new fishing props.

Well, we're going to see the Lion King that weekend, does that count as a gift for DH? Still don't know what to get anyone. I ask them what they want...their response "Nothing". Helpful huh?

Being a father I really don't care about reciveing a gift, a nice homemade card is nice and a nice day the family can spend together. One of the best presents I ever recived was a picture of my son taken at a studio, that meant more to me than any gadet, tie or gift cert. He wants to know what I want and I tell him his love. Of couse now that his mother and I are nolonger together being with him is even more special, thank goodness his mother and I get along so good, and I get to be with him everyday except on weekends.

We had our daughter last July, so it will be my husband's first Father's Day. Unfortunately, he won't be able to be with our little girl because he's stationed out in Florida while we are here in Chicago. We would go down there, but that was my Mother's Day gift (DD and I visited him and even got 2 days at WDW!). DH and I have planned a "date night" for when he comes home in July for Trinity's first birthday. But what I planned to send him was a framed picture of Trinity with her wearing his favorite baseball cap (a Kansas City cap with KC on it... husband's name is Keith Christopher but everyone calls him KC). I think he'll get a kick out of that. And I'm also sending a recent videotape of Trinity.

For my dad, tools... I know it's the usual gift, but he's into fixing our garage so he can start his own automotive business.

And a visit and flowers to Fort Sheridan to visit my husband's late father... he passed away a few weeks before our wedding.

You mean to tell me that Father's Day is just one day a year? Someone better tell my wife ...shes walks around yelling "everyday is Father's Day in this house!";)

My Dad's gift was easy. We got him a bar set and we're giving him a bottle of Grey Goose with it. He doesn't have a bar, but at least when they have people over, they'll have something to mix drinks with in the kitchen.

I have no idea what to get for DH. He has everything he wants and what he doesn't have, he's willing to buy at the drop of a dime. He bought me a bird bath for mother's day that lights up from underneath. I just really have no idea what to get for him.

My dad is gone, so I just send him good thoughts on Father's Day.

FIL is a stroke victim that can't walk or communicate. Talk about hard to shop for! We usually do gift certificates for meals at restaurants they like, so she can get nice take-out. We've done movies to death. He really prefers to watch sports. Any ideas for me?

DH is tough. We might take him out to eat and to a baseball game or a movie. He just had a birthday last week, so Father's Day comes a little too soon. He got what he wanted then. Oh wait, he wanted a couple of CD's that we didn't find. Think I'll go order them.

Us Dad's and husbands will be happy with anything that has a remote control. Whoever dies with the most remote controls wins!!!!!!!

This is what I got my DH for Father's Day. It's two folding chairs with a cooler in between. It's great for him and neighbor guy. They can put their "refreshments" in the cooler and don't have to get up to go to the fridge so much!

I bought it through LTD Commodities. They only sell to office/businesses. I tried to copy the picture but couldn't. Here's the link. Best of all it was only $30!

Just an update to share something I found. We decided to get our dad's gift certificate to restaurants and found them through www.giftcertificates.com worked out well since we live too far away to purchase the gift certificates in person.

Thank's to everyone who replied, I appreciate it.
