Father's Day crowds??? Sunday, June 21st

We are going to DL on Father's Day which happens to be my birthday too! Has anyone been on Father's Day before? What are the crowds like? Do they do anything special for Dads?

How funny! We are going that day too and it;s also my husbands birthday, (and the first day of Summer) It's a Sunday so expect weekend summer crowds but I don't think anything more than that.

Someone here had posted that they expected it to be busy, because it was the last Sunday before the California APs are blacked out for the summer.

I'm going then too, so I hope that doesn't hold true, but I thought I'd mention it.

We were there that weekend last year, and it was the busiest I had ever seen it! I'm used to the crowds of early June, so maybe it wasn't as bad as I am making it out to be, but it was definitely busy!

We actually weren't in the parks Father's Day, so I don't know if they do anything for dads. Maybe a button?

I didn't phrase it very well...the APs are actually good from Monday-Friday 6/26 as well before they're blacked out for most of the summer, but 6/21 is the last SUNDAY they are valid for a while.

But from everything I've read here, it's Sundays that have been really busy because of the APs, and the weekdays (and maybe even Saturdays) aren't nearly as bad.

I don't know how the weird annual pass calendar (valid all week except Saturday that week) will affect crowds...I do know that DL tries to black out the days they predict will be busiest, but I also know that there are so many locals that the non-blacked out days may become significantly busier.

Crossing my fingers for both of us, though. At least we should have Fantasmic and hopefully the Electrical Parade too!
