Father from the Carousel of Progress

I just spent a week at Disney World and noticed for the first time that the animatronic father from the Carousel of Progress had been given longer hair and was playing a lute on Spaceship Earth...

Now I am wondering, is this character on other rides too?

Anyone know?

Went on Carousel of Progress for the first time our last trip in September. Had not thought about it but I think you may be right. The two do look a lot alike. I also enjoyed Carousel of Progress, it was a nice break to sit and relax for a bit.

There are many AA figures with the same facial features. There are something like a dozen basic faces they work from and just add hair, scars, etc.

Not sure about him, but I know the grandmother is also in the Haunted Mansion

To save money they use some molds more than a couple of times. We have fun looking for the replicas. It's become a game for us. Hint: one of the Presidents is on Spaceship Earth.
