I am so excited Father Fahnestock wrote to me about performing a catholic wedding at DISNEY:goodvibes .. so happy:cool1: ... so I will keep you all posted on the info...

YAY!!! I know this really makes you excited and puts a little bit of your mind at ease-- please let us know how it goes.

Christina,

You guys are the cutest couple. I'm so glad you got a reply and wish you the best of luck on your wedding and a very happy life together!

This site is beginning to make me wish we had done a DFTW. We weren't able to attend Diane & Andrew's so I only know what we missed out on by these TR's and everyone's planning questions.

What a great way to celebrate your love for each other-the happiest place on earth!:cheer2:

Congrats Christina! Let me know how you like him. We actually decided not to use him and are sticking w/ Rev. Jack. Long story, since Fr. F isn't Roman Catholic, that turned out to be a problem. Oh well! I hope he works for you :)

Hi JJClemson

Yea I heard about that too... I am Roman Catholic myself and so isthe church I belong to.. So I am going to talk to my DF and see what we are going to do.. I feel a headache coming along:headache: It never ends;)

Just fyi, I was told by two Old Catholic priests that any sacraments received in their church are recognized by the Roman Catholic church as well. I emailed my archdicoese to verify this, but I haven't heard back yet.

We decided to stick with Rev Tim and just do the convalidation ceremony when we get back. Good luck! :)

Ah yes, the joys of being Catholic ;)

Wait!?!?! It's a joy!?!?! In all my years of Catholic school, they failed to mention that entirely! Sheesh, you'd think they'd want people to know that! ;)

:rotfl:

Yes, I know it is technically recognized by them, but still... something felt not right :confused3 Thanks for the heads up though :)

Make room for one more passenger in the boat here. :rolleyes1

DF and I have very unusual circumstances with our religions but have been under the impression from many (and through our research) that our circumstances make the Catholic church more accomodating to us. Just have to get the :thumbsup2 from the right people though. Then we discovered last week that the priest I found wasn't the kind of priest we were looking for. Major bummer. DF found a lot of humor in it though. I may pm some of you gals to see what you are trying to pull off. One of the least-headache-inducing options for us seems to be sticking with Rev. Jack (I don't mind at all but DF does) and see what the church can do for us once we are home.

:grouphug: for my shipmates.

Jenny
