I am a fat woman who is 5'5'' and weighs 220. Am I going to have a problem riding rides at US/IOA? I certainly don't want to spend money for passes only to discover that there will be rides that I cannot ride.
My sister in law was just there in November and she is a fun loving larger woman who if I had to guess was at least 250 pounds and she never made any mention of not being able to ride on anything. I am sure someone else can answer the question better for you but I wanted to give you my imput. Have a wonderful time!
If you go to http://allearsnet.com/tp/ridsiz.htm They have ride information on the rides at WDW, US/IOA. I am going to Universal for the first time this fall and hope I can ride a lot of stuff. That is one thing I like about WDW. There is not a single ride I want to ride that I can't because of my size.
They have test seats outside the hulk to save embarasment but I am only 5ft 7inches and weigh 16 stone and managed all rides no special seats etc needed at all

I am not exactly small either and I have always managed to ride everything. Rows 3 and Rows 6 of most of the rides were weight is an issue are your best bet. These rows are generally bigger than most.
There are test seats available at Doctor Doom, Hulk, MIB, Dueling Dragons, and Mummy. Be sure to use them if you're unsure. Everything else is extremely accomodating and you should have no problem with.
My husband and I are "Pooh" sized people - and we had no problems with any rides at the parks last year. I went last year @ 5'4 and 230 lbs and did just fine- even fit on the kids coasters . There are sets available on the coasters that have belt extenders just waiting for people to use. Just quietly ask the ride operator to send you to those seats and there will be no problem or embarrassment.
Jimmy Neutron-Sort of. With JN the lapbar must come down to a certain point. If it's unable to lockwhere it needs to, they do offer the stationary seats...
I appreciate it if anyone has any more info about whether or not a larger person would be able to ride certain things or fit in certain show seats. I am a larger person so any help would be appreciated.
The attractions are very accomodating. If there is not a test seat outside, then you should have no problem. Most attractions that use a lapbar only require them to go down as far as the largest person.
On BTTF, you will probably want the ground level, as the cars there are the most accomodating. Hulk and Dueling Dragons have the larger seats in rows 3 & 6. Mummy has more legroom in the back row, which sometimes plays an important role.
Shows are no problem. Many use the bench type seats, but the Horror Makeup Show, Shrek, and T2:3D use regular style chairs. They are very accomodating.
