If I were to go into Disneyland in the morning with my family. And then leave them in DL while I run over to DCA. Would I be able to get fastpasses from the RSR machine if my family has not had their tickets scanned at the DCA entrance. Or do all tickets have to be scanned at DCA in order to get fastpasses. If that makes sense. :rotfl2:

Yes you could do this. Tickets only have to be scanned at one park to get FPs at either park.

Just don't forget to bring them back their passes while they're still in Disneyland because they need the passes to get their hand stamped when they exit the park (ie. don't just meet them in the middle area or back at the hotel or somewhere else to give them back their tickets.)

I am confused by this advice. You do not need to show your admission media to exit either park. You can get a handstamp without showing anything. :goodvibes

No, this is not correct. You can in fact meet them in the middle or at the hotel but they DO have to get their hand stamped on the way out. As ArchOwl said, you don't have to show your tickets to get a hand stamp.

So if husband and I enter the park together early, and he then exits the park to go back to the hotel, he can leave his ticket with me and just get his hand stamped? Then I could go use both tickets to get fast passes for later in the day when he returns?

Then when he comes back into the park, hw ould need his ticket right? I guess I could walk out and meet him outside the gate.

Just want to make sure I understand this correctly.

Thanks..

You can definitely do this, but not all the CMs think you can do this.

We did something similar... family checked into the Monorail station to go to DL, handed me their tickets, and I headed over to DCA to get FPs for RSR. One of the CMs said that all parties had to have their tickets scanned and be present in DCA. I was pretty sure that wasn't the case and another CM confirmed that as long as your tickets are scanned in one park, you can get FPs.
