JUST WANT EVERYBODY TO KNOW THAT YOU MAY USE YOUR TICKET ADMISSION TO GET A FASTPASS. IT IS NOT ONLY PEOPLE WHO STAY ON DISNEY PROPERTY.

That's no news to me, but thanks for the info. People have thought for years that Fastpass was only for those on property or those with "special" tickets. I discoverd it by complete accident one year when I put my pass in the machine and it spit out a fastpass!! :p

You know what though, there are those who visit Disney that will still think the Fastpass is not for them. It cracks me up when I walk by them in the standby line and they look at me like, how do I get those special tickets?? I actually told someone once who I heard complaining that she could have a fastpass too. I just looked at her politely and said, it you go and stick your ticket in that machine right outside the door, you can have one of these too. I smiled at her and walked away. She seemed shocked when I told her.

Some people think you have to pay for them. I was in line at ToT and some teen girls (probably Pop Warner) were talking about the people passing in the fast pass line and said "I wonder how much they cost?". I turned around and said they were free, they couldn't believe it!

How can people not know about Fast Pass??
The information is all over the place; park maps, web sites, guide books, Disney TV if you're staying on site, the planning video. I just don't get it.

Compulsive Disney planners like us cannot fathom how anyone can go to WDW and not understand something as clearly explained as fastpasses. But I meet people in my community all the time who've been to WDW and just blow me away with how little they know about the place. They can't even remember which parks they went to, much less the names of rides. If I happen to mention fastpass, they invariably look at me like I just started speaking Greek.

Just last week I was talking to a girl at work who had been to WDW last year. It was their first trip ever, and they don't have any plans to go back. They had been to MGM and Epcot, but they didn't even go to MK! And they have a 5 y/o son. It sickens me to think this child's only trip to WDW didn't even include MK. And she seemed completely oblivious to the fact that they had missed anything. I did ask her if they used fastpasses, and she said, "Oh, we saw those. We didn't really take the time to try to figure them out though."
