Disney-Kim,
( You could buy a plus pass in addition to your AP.

)
It is a nice thing to have if you are buying a new ticket, but don't feel bad, because it wouldn't really be worthwhile if you already have an AP....
We just visited the week before Easter (and it was plenty busy) using the plus passes. There were a couple of times (in the whole week) where we were glad we had the plus passes, but it turned out that just using regular APes would have probably would have worked out just as well most of the timel. (My sister's family compared with their APes). What we discovered in our unscientific test:
What helped was going first thing in the morning and walking on a lot of rides and not needing FPes. Also, several rides were unlinked, anyway (HM, Pirates, Star Tours, IASW were unlinked meaning you get get FPes from all those rides just like the plus pass folks could do). Space Mtn is down for refurbishment for 2 years--so a FP is not needed for that. When we got a FP for Star Tours, they were giving out bonus FPes for Honey, I shrunk the Audience... The primo FPes were Splash MTN, Indiana Jones and BTMRR (and maybe Autotopia). The new ride (Winnie the Pooh) could be walked on first thing and then big waits later on (if you have small children, they would probably enjoy going on the ride more than once--- if so, that would have to be added into the FP equation). If you collected one of the primo FPes first thing--then you only have to wait 2 hours maximum to get the next one and so on. In the meantime, you could collect FPes for the unlinked rides and go on the rides that don't require a FP....
In the end, we concluded that you could still have an awesome time without the plus passes.
