Fastpass viewing area for Illuminations

Yup.

Currently it's at #14 on the map below.
We don't know if or when that might change.

When we were there end of July, they were cramming a ton of people down on the waterfront area in Italy - it was an exclusive area, and they were brought in by guides. Did not look like tour groups of any kind, no matching clothes, mix of adults and children. We had great, open space around us, and they were all crammed down there. We thought it was part of FP+, and laughed that it didn't seem to be much of a plus to be so crowded together.

We used this FP+ on Saturday- it was fabulous! We were directly across the lagoon from America, just in front if the store. View was perfect and kids thought I was a rock star for scoring such a great spot!

Has anyone been able to book an Illuminations FP+ between Sept 3rd and 14th? I don't see it as an option. The MK parade and Wishes options weren't available to me until last week, but nothing for Illuminations yet.

So far it's been the rose garden (a grassy area) off to the right of the central hub.

If you get the MSEP FP+, just stay put! It was nice to be able to spread out for Wishes, but our viewing would have been much better in front of the castle, especially for the projection show.

Has anyone been able to book an Illuminations FP+ between Sept 3rd and 14th? I don't see it as an option. The MK parade and Wishes options weren't available to me until last week, but nothing for Illuminations yet.

I am hoping for it on Thursday 9/12 or even Wednesday 9/11!! I can see it as an option for the Saturday (9/14) but we will be gone by then. I heard it might only be available on weekends

ready4mouse - I am so happy that you had such a positive experience. I was concerned that it would be like Schmek described, with lots of people crammed into a small space. Now I'm excited about having this fastpass

Yup.

I consider the Rose Garden an "OK" view, but certainly the severe fireworks angle of view is less than ideal.
And, (as was mentioned above) even less so for "Celebrate the Magic"
the castle projection show that starts just 15 minutes before Wishes begins.

Part of the "new system."

However, for each one of those FP+ viewing spots you choose, it will reduce your RIDE FP+ options by one.
That's a pretty steep price considering that you are only allowed to pick 3 (maybe 4) FP+ selections per day, total.

Your opinion please:

So, if you planned to watch MSEP at 8pm and then Wishes at 9pm, and could choose only one FP+ location (and you HAD to choose one FP+ location and stay there for both events ), would you choose to watch both MSEP and Wishes from the MSEP FP+ location in the hub, or MSEP and Wishes from the Wishes FP+ location in the Rose Garden? (Sorry for the run on sentence )

It was up by the Hub as of two days ago. Excellent viewing!
