Fastpass Ticketing Question

I have a question that I feel sort of silly asking because the answer seems like it should be fairly obvious, but wanted to ask just in case.

On a day that we're sleeping in, I was planning to wake up a little earlier than everyone else and go to DCA to get Radiator Springs Racers Fastpasses, bringing my family's tickets with me (since they are said to be likely gone by noon). Then I would go back to the hotel, rest a bit, and go back to the park with the rest of the family as a group whenever we feel ready.

Am I likely to run into any issues at the turnstiles? I know of course that every Guest needs a ticket to enter, but does every ticket need a Guest? When I go early, will Disney let me enter by myself with multriple tickets on my person? Again, I feel like the answer will be "Duh, of course" but I couldn't think of a time where we've ever had a situation like this before.

To obtain a FP, every ticket needs to be scanned at either one of the park turnstiles. You cannot use an unscanned ticket to get a FP. Technically, you are not supposed to enter the park using another's ticket. It would not work with APs, and they are cracking down on the longer parkhopper tickets as well, oftentimes having the person using them sign their name. I imagine you would attract a lot of attention entering and exiting the turnstiles over and over again and they would probably question what you were doing.

I would be prepared for this idea not to work. The Fastpasses go to the guests who are willing to get up for them! :lmao:

Even if you managed to activate multiple tickets by yourself, your family would have a very difficult time getting in later in the day without a handstamp. If they were lucky, the CM MIGHT make an exception, but my mom forgot to get her hand stamped a few years back after leaving DL (I had an AP) and the CM almost didn't let her in to DCA.

If I were you I'd try to pry my family out of bed earlier, since I think the parks are nicest early in the morning anyway (crowds are certainly the lowest), but you know your family. I hope your Plan B works well!

I hadn't thought about the ticket activation. Good point.

This exactly...the ticket has to be activated in order to get the FP, and a hand stamp would be required to get into the park. Best to get everyone in during the morning hours and take a rest later in the day.

I'm the alarm clock fanatic of our family, I set the alarm and drag everyone out of bed very early every morning. They may grumble a bit, but they always, always thank me for it when we experience so much in the mornings. Take a nap in the afternoon, but don't miss the mornings!

Totally agree!! This is how it is for us as well! :goodvibes
