I know this is going to sound silly but all the times I have been the only FP I used was for soarin and everest. I have heard people say they have had 2 or 3 FP for different rides. How does this happen? If I get a FP for 10.30-1130 when can I get another?
Also which rides have the longest queues and will need the FP? We are getting to the parks early so will hope to do the main rides first but as iv never been in april Im not too sure of crowds busy days etc. any help would be appreciated. We fly next tuesday and Im so disorganised this time. Not packed and only ordered currency today from fairfx.

When you get your FP there will be a note at the bottom to tell you when you can get your next FP. Unless the FP time is for hours later, it is usually after the FP window opens.

Obviosuly, the most popular rides will have the longest lines and, in April, I would say that most rides will have long lines by early afternoon. The key will be to arrive at the park for rope drop and get as much done in the morning as possible. Having said that, since Easter is out of the way, I would imagine the crowds wouldn't be as bad as they usually are in early April.

There is more information on the DIS main site here

I will also add that you are arriving as the crowds start to drop again so you miss the worst of it.

Headliners early is the key. Try ride standby for what you can first thing and collect FP's as soon as you are able to (as per Joh's advice above). You will be fine. April is a fab time to be there :cool1:

Hi, I think most people will have been doing this when Disney didn't enforce the return time on the fastpass which they now do.

For example; in the past we would have gone to the Magic Kingdom for opening and immediately got a fastpass for Splash Mountain (even though the queue at this time would have been small; the return time would probably have been around 10am-11am). We would then have gone over to Thunder Mountain and ridden on there a couple of times while it was quiet. After that we might have gone over to ride Peter Pan getting a fastpass for Winnie the pooh as it would be past 10am by now so we would be allowed another fastpass (probably to ride around 11.30am-12.30pm by now). At this point we are obviously holding two fastpasses. Following that we might have seen Philharmagic and ridden on It's a small World. After that we may have walked over to Tomorrowland perhaps getting a bite to eat. By doing this we would be in the right location to get another fastpass for Space Mountain as soon as it got to 11.30am. So at that point we would hold three fastpasses and would return to Splash Mountain to use our first fastpass where the queue for standby was now an hour or more.

To do it like that tended to require quite a bit of crisscrossing the park but that worked the calories off!! You also needed the fastpasses to be at the right times but with a lot of experience you learned to forecast the times. We can only ever go in school holidays when the crowds are busy so by doing this we have been able to go at Christmas, Easter and the summer holidays without ever queuing for anything longer than 15 minutes. We'd repeat this at all the parks and it usually worked apart from at Hollywood Studios once Toy Story Mania appeared. The fastpasses go from there so quickly and are so late it doesn't work as well. But even if you get a fastpass there at 9.15am and the return time is 2pm-3pm you can still get another pass at 11.15am as two hours have passed since you got your last one.

Phew - sounds like a military operation when I write it down!! Now, these kinds of plans won't work as well now that the return time is enforced. But hopefully you can see how it can be used to full effect. You only need to do it like this is the parks are busy - hopefully you won't have to contend with too many crowds. Have a great time!!:yay:

Ha ha, Laura, sounds like you were one of the notorious FP hoarders like we were :lmao: Took some getting used to the enforced return times last year, instead of having a stash of up to 8 FP's before noon :rotfl:

That said, PF lines seemed shorter and certainly seemed to move quicker so there was some benefit to it.

Just note the time for collecting your next one on the bottom of the FP you collect, Alyson, and try get that next one as soon as you can, even if you dedicate a Fastpass runner to head off and collect them to save you all criss crossing :)
