I am writing to find out if the following things are true or just "magical" moments for a lucky guest. If they are true, I'm wondering if anyone knows if they will still be in effect for my September 2005 trip. I know no one has a crystal ball, and WDW "reserves the right to change times without notice", but I figured I'd ask here anyways. :)

Question #1: Does this really work?
I read on someone's trip report that he would get a Fastpass and return several hours later, even when the return window had passed. He said he knew this would work based on his research before going. It did work for him at a couple of the "big rides" - Splash, Big Thunder, Space, etc. Sooooo, can I go back at anytime and use my FP, even if it's several hours AFTER the return window? I know you can't go back beforehand.

Question #2: Is this still in effect?
For the same trip report, the poster was saying WDW was trying out a new system where guests could get multiple FPs at a time for different rides. He was able to get FPs for Test Track, Soarin', Mission:Space, etc. and have them all in hand for both him and his girlfriend. He used them during or after the return window, and got more while still holding on to FPs for other rides. He had up to 10 FPs at once, if I remember correctly. Is this still possible? I'd love it if it were, but it seems FPs would run out much faster.

Again, I don't necessarily expect these things to be in place during the summer, but these were applicable during his April 2005 trip and I wondered if they'd return or still be there for Sept of 2005.

Thanks!

Jenny, the normal fastpass system is still in place. While they may be discussing different fastpass options, nothing has changed at this time. The only way you could return several hours after your window is up, is if the castmember didn't notice or didn't care what time your window expired. And I would venture to say that that ain't too often. :flower:

Answer #1....I just recently read that people did this myself! however some of the people who did write this have been on these boards for some time, and go to WDW more than once a year, and know what they are talking about. If need be I will try it on my next trip this month....However...I am usually back at the attraction the minute my FastPass takes effect (i just can't wait  )

Answer #2 I haven't heard or read this ..3 at a time (my head will explode)...it sounds wonderful to me. Last year i was there in July...and on a few occasions when i got a FASTPASS for one ride, a second FastPass came out for another ride. Example: I got a Fastpass for winnie the pooh, along with that I got a FastPass for Peter Pan! Very Cool!

Now I haven't read this on the boards, and I dont know how true it is, but a co-worker told me that someone he knows works at disney (you know how reliable this info can be!)
That Disney is going to come out with a NEW FastPass system for ONLY the Guests staying at their resorts. It will be the night before, at your resort, you will be able to get FastPasses for up to 4 attractions for a specific park. So if you are going to Epcot the next day, you Can get 4 Fastpasses to any 4 attractions....AT THE TIME YOU WANT!

To me it sounds to good to be true.....but ya never know!

I will see what happens when I go down the end of this month...and report back!

Happy 4th!
Andy

We just returned on Friday and used expired fastpasses on several occassions. No problems! As for question #2, I can't help you on that one! HTH

Not sure about #2 but I have read here recently on this board that people have gone back after their fastpasses expired and were not allowed to use them. So I think that's a "your mileage may vary" type of thing and I wouldn't risk being turned away trying to use a fastpass way after it's expired.

I have heard a CM tell people (several times in several places) that they won't allow you to get in fastpass before your time has arrived but it's okay if you're a little later than the fastpass time. I think they probably allow some leeway because sometimes it's hard to get back to the ride RIGHT during that timeframe- but I think if you're going back hours after it's expired you'll have a 50/50 (at best) chance of them letting you use them.
