Fastpass Question

My Husband and I are chaperoning a High School Senior Trip to WDW the end of April. We have bought tickets and assigned the names to each ticket. We just found out one senior will not be going so we are trying to find someone else to fill that spot. I know I can reassign the name to the ticket before it is used.
Here is my question if we have not reassigned that ticket by our 60 days out can I still make fastpass reservations for that ticket and then change the name and still keep the fastpasses that were assigned to that ticket? Or will it delete those fastpasses when the ticket is reassigned?

Yes; it’s the ticket that keeps the FPs intact. All you need to do is Edit the name, or, just let the new kid use the ticket without changing the name. It doesn’t matter.
