My SIL and her family are arriving 2 days before us so their 60 day window is 2 days before ours. We linked our reservations in My Disney Experience and she made our dining reservations for all of us. She has a Disney confirmation number for her trip. I have one for our trip.

We were thinking she would book the fast passes for all of us too, but I was wondering if was going to be an issue since our 60 day window would not have started yet.

Any idea?

When her 60 day window opens, you can make FP's for your trip as well. Even if you aren't on the reservation, if you have tickets linked in MDE, anyone on your friends and family list who is staying on site, you can make your FPs when their 60 days open up.

We're AP holders so were limited to 30 days out since we never stay on site. 2 people on our friends and family were going to Disney and staying on site so I went in to check and if we wanted we could've made FP's off their window.

@sunlover13 ~ do you have a package booked? If so, your SIL has to wait for your 60-day package window to open.

If you have room-only plus separately linked tickets, your SIL can book for your family when her window opens.

I have our room booked through orbitz, staying at Pop. Tickets purchased through Disney. Does this mean she should be able to book our FP with hers? Do we need to do anything special in My Disney Experience? We are listed in each other's family and friends and she was able to book dining.

Yes, your SIL can book for you. She will need to book for the complete group so that her open window includes your family.

After booking, FPs can be Modified if any changes need to be made.

On her end, as long as your family shows up in her MDE account, she is good to go! :)

This may be a redundant question, but to confirm this will work ?

I will be staying at BCV with friends checking in on Thurs,, checking out on Sat. On Sat I will be checking into AKV with my extended family party of 5. My family has their park passes linked and are on the reservation at AKV at my MDE account. They do not have an MDE account of their own.

What I am reading here is that I can make FP reservations for them when my 60 day window opens up for my Thursday check in at BCV ? Is that correct ?

Yes, book FPs for the complete group because your family has to be under the "booking umbrella" that's based on your BCV stay.
