Fastpass question & how to do 3 hours sans kids?

Do the FP have to match the ticket holder? I've read about people giving them away so I assume not.

I ask because we have one day planned when we are taking the kids to Pinnochios Workshop and hitting the parks for 3-4 hours. It's a grad night so I was thinking we could pull a few FPs for the bigger thrill rides before we left the park, drop off the kids, and head back with FPs in hand. It would be awesome if we could use their tix to pull 2 extra FPs for additional rides since our timeframe will be tight.

Would it work? Bad idea? Poor form? I still don't quite get how FPs work time wise. Any other suggestions on how to maximize our kid free hours?!?!

Thank you!!

I have read that you can do that and thought it was an awesome idea, and until you suggested it I did not assume it would be poor form, but I could just be a jerk!! Haha! But I also always wonder why people wouldn't grab a Fastpass versus waiting in a 45 minute standby line!

Oh- and I suggest some quiet time and serious people watching while splitting a tasty dessert! It's one of our favorite things to do!

I say go for it. It should work. If everyone and their mother started doing this I'd say it wouldn't be a good idea, but I imagine it doesn't happen that frequently enough to really cause any slow downs for the rest of us. It wouldn't bother me if I saw someone doing this. The only thing I might mention is that the CM may notice - if you give them your FP and then 5 minutes later you are giving them another one that may look strange, but I'm not sure if they would care or not.

How we do it is to collect all of the entry tickets and get FP for everyone in the party. When the FP window was open, we could determine who was riding, and who wasn't. Those who were riding could take the FP and go ride. I would think you could plan your "alone time" to include the FP hour printed on the pass.

If you have any extra FP, you could share them with a harried parent or some other person who looks like they need some magic in their day. I would prefer someone else use the FP as opposed to place it in the recycle bin. We have handed off extra FP a good distance from a ride to teenagers who are willing to run.

I did this for my cousin's kids a few months ago. There were 6 of us, and 2 didn't want to ride Star Tours. I gave the kids my FP so that made 3 riders and 6 FP and let them go twice to see 2 scenarios. But, the wait inside and the ride took so long they only made it back to the FP return with 2 minutes to spare. You could also get FP for different rides. Like a 6pm FP for BMTRR and then you could pull 2 more for Indy without waiting until the next available FP.

Thanks for the input everyone!! Glad to know its not totally frowned upon!

Yes, I was definitely thinking of getting them for different rides...get as many in in as short period of time as we can.

Can you check the return time they're giving before you pull one? Anyone else have a strategy to consider?
