Fastpass plus e-mail?

I should have been more specific...the parade is the 3pm parade....there is no night parade that night...

So is MSEP an option or just Celebrate?

I received the confirmation email, but my mom didn't get one for hers. Her selections are in the system when I pull it up, so I am not worried. All the confirmation email was was a list of my FPs and the time I had chosen. I wouldn't stress over it.

I find Disney confirmation emails, even for my resort reservations to be hit or miss. This is a new system. I wouldnt worry. If they're in the computer now, take a printout for peace of mind.

Why do they pick some people and not others? I have not received anything and we are going to be at Disney the same week they are testing!

We are driving but, why should that matter.. we bought a package just like everyone else.

Bumming. Does this mean its going to be more difficult to get fast passes and see parades and fireworks because everyone else will already have their special FP's booked? Seems awesome to be one the the "cool" kids that was picked but, feels a little like the nerd who wasn't good enough for us. lol

We are driving, too and I feel the same way. Like, why am I getting punished for saving money and driving lol. This is our first time since the return times have been enforced, we have to return on time and then worry about the cool kids and their reserved times, lol.

We have tickets the 16-21, so I will be interested to see if there is any difference before this gets started or not.

Maybe we will get picked for the storytime for Belle preview, instead!

I'm very curious to hear people's experience with this system. My understanding from the 1st test phase was that it didn't go well. ~ Guest would get behind on their schedule or have an unexpected delay and not make their FastPass times and were out of luck and very angry.

Can you get regular fastpasses if you use this option?

I hope you all give us your thoughts when you get back.

So, originally (either in the original email to me or in the directions when I initially logged onto the site), I was told that after I made my selections, I would get a confirmation email confirming my date, times, and selections and my address to where they would mail the FP+ cards.

I have selected the four attractions and when I log out and log back in, it shows them still there, but I have not received a confirmation email. Has anyone else received theirs yet?

I'm sure it's not a big deal as I could just go to Guest Services when we arrive and pick them up there if they are not mailed out to us. But, I was just wondering if I'm missing something?

We also got this email on Wednesday - had no problem whatsoever booking the FP+ experiences: Main Street Electrical Parade, Wishes Nightime Spectacular, Haunted Mansion and Jungle Cruise. Changed one of the times and that was it ... however no confirmation email either. I reset and redid it again and still no confirmation email ... but I signed back on today and it still lists the choices we made. So will follow the instructions in the FAQ section and pick them up when we get there as I doubt that we will get the FPs in the mail as we leave in 13 days!

Was surprised to get this email actually as it was sitting in our on-line SPAM folder but luckily I checked it out. We are booked on the Free Dining Room Package for our PORS portion of our holiday ... booked it on-line earlier this year and will be taking the ME to AoA when we arrive at MCO (staying at AoA for one night before heading over to PORS - couldn't resist trying one night at the new resort ). I do LIKE Disney surprises

Count me in as one of the ones who got this email last week as well. I read that this test in no way ties into the current fastpass system and that you can still utilize the regular FP.

One question I have is about the parade & fireworks option? Is there a specific place they have reserved for only those who pick that option? Meaning we wouldn't have to stake out a spot pretty early on? I was trying to find specifics on this or from others who may have tested this before to see if they thought it was worthwhile or if I should just stick to choosing 4 rides.

From what I gather and from seeing the choices, yes, it will be a specific viewing area. For Wishes, ours says to arrive between 8:40-8:55 and I believe Wishes is at 9.

This is interesting. I just checked yesterday's mail, and I received two postcard invitations for FP+ testing. We are doing a split stay, so we have two reservations. I've already signed up using my second reservation, but I would have preferred to use my first one. I don't see any way to change it now though. If I log in with my email it shows the date I've already chosen. If I try using a different email then it won't pull up the reservation. Darn.

We have a military discount set for the first four nights of our trip at AKL, but it wasn't available for the fifth. I booked a separate 1 night's stay at AKL. We received a Fastpass+ invite for our last night's reservation, but not for the longer one. I set up our + reservations.

When I called to pay off our 4 nights, the fifth was available with the discount, so I added it and cancelled the spare 1 night, which has the + attached to it. I'll have to see if they system lets me keep it even though I cancelled the reservation.

the fireworks viewing area is where the Swan boats used to load, years ago, it is an area below the Plaza Restaurant.

As to the Parade area it was a standing area near the hub.

However as with the Illuminations reserved viewing you get with Candlelight Processional, it will be a crowded and naturally those standing in front of you will have better views.

To me the Fireworks location is the better choice of the two but would not be worth giving up a ride Fastpass.

They are only testing the system right now so those of us that have it were simply chosen at random from all guests using DME over certain dates in Sept. No one really knows how it will work if and when they actually implement it.

I thought that area was the AAA fireworks viewing area. Have they stopped AAA, or will they share the spot?

Never received an e-mail, but I just received my FastPass+ "Limited Time Test" cards in the mail yesterday. I went with:

-Splash
-Space
-Haunted Mansion
-TST - Mickey & Minnie

+My AAA agent recieved my fastpass+ info and emailed it to me. I selected my options and recieved my confirmation email. I leave in 6 days!!! What if I don't recieve my cards in the mail before we leave? Can I print out email and pick them up once we are there???

We just received ours in the mail and I thought it was interesting that they are cards, similar to KTTW cards, so you cannot give a set away if there is one you can't use. To the PP, I believe they are going to have a kiosk at the Magical Express area with CMs to help you so if you do not get your cards, I think you can get them at the airport.

I got mine in Thursday's mail. I've got two reservations, and the one the FP+ is attached to starts Monday. So I got it only 3 mailing days before the package starts.
