Fastpass plus e-mail?

So, originally (either in the original email to me or in the directions when I initially logged onto the site), I was told that after I made my selections, I would get a confirmation email confirming my date, times, and selections and my address to where they would mail the FP+ cards.

I have selected the four attractions and when I log out and log back in, it shows them still there, but I have not received a confirmation email. Has anyone else received theirs yet?

I'm sure it's not a big deal as I could just go to Guest Services when we arrive and pick them up there if they are not mailed out to us. But, I was just wondering if I'm missing something?

Thanks!

My standard advice whenever someone doesn't get an e-mail they're expecting is to check their e-mail provider's web server page and look in the Junk/Spam folder.

This might sound silly but after you selected your attractions and times did you hit "done" at the bottom? I received my confirmation email minutes after submitting our request. I'm sure you can do it at the kiosk when you arrive if it doesn't come in the mail though!

That is not at all silly as it is something I would totally do! :rotfl:

I don't remember (I think I did?) so I went back in, confirmed them, and made sure to click Done. It took me back to the main page where I can view my selections, change my selections, cancel my selections, etc.

It's only been 5 minutes, but still no email. :confused3
Oh well, it's not a big deal to stop and pick them up when we get there.
Thanks!

ETA: Also checked spam folder with no luck, but I'll keep looking out for it. Thanks!

We also got the email about fast pass+. I originally picked the parade, Peter pan, Mickey and Minnie, and the fireworks for 9/19...it says parade viewing in front of the castle and fireworks viewing in the rose garden by the tomorrow land bridge. Is this a good spot to sit to see these things?

Also, does anyone know if we are able to use the fast pass+ and still get regular fast passes at the same time?

You can still get FP's from the machine because they do not seem to be tied to your park ticket. I know this because my husband got the e-mail with his room only reservation. He is not even going to the parks. He is just staying one night with us and then we are continuing our vacation elsewhere. What a waste of a good e-mail! :confused3

My mother, who is travelling with us under a separate reservation#, received an invite email, but sadly we did not.

Obviously, she's not going to use the system to get FastPass+ just for herself, since she'll be touring the parks with us.

She called to ask if the invitation could be extended to our reservation as well, since our resses are linked.

No dice. They won't do that.

The Cast Member she talked to did suggest that if you are booked with DME, you might call and "refresh" your DME reservation to see if an invitation will be issued. Not sure why this would work, but I'll give it a shot.

Really wish we could try this out, but we just weren't "chosen". :(

So I have already changed our FP+ options...instead of not doing a park on the first day, we have decided to head over to MK for the parade and Wishes! I think the biggest problem with this system will be us psycho Dissers constantly changing our minds!

I'm still wondering if you can get other fast passes that day. We also have to reservations and only received the email for one of them.

I think it would be ridiculous to prevent people who are testing the FP+ system to not get any other Fastpasses. I HIGHLY doubt that is the case.

Imagine getting the email explaining that:

Oh, by the way, here's your chance to not be able to plan your day effectively...you only have to select four things that you never really considered options until RIGHT THIS SECOND and then waive your rights and freedoms for the remainder of your painfully rescheduled day.

Nah, I think we'll be fine!

I called today because we are leaving in 10 days and I was afraid I wouldn't get it. The CM said if not, there will be a kiosk at Magical Express or I could go to guest services at MK. He said no worries.

I haven't gotten a confirmation email.

This is what I thought - thank you! I'm very excited to try this out. :goodvibes

I received the confirmation email, but my mom didn't get one for hers. Her selections are in the system when I pull it up, so I am not worried. All the confirmation email was was a list of my FPs and the time I had chosen. I wouldn't stress over it.

I received my email saying I was selected to try out the fastpass plus. I chose the electrical parade. It put me in front of the castle. I didnt really like the times they gave me for the other rides, but there wasnt much better times to choose from when I looked. Oh well....should be interesting:)

Count me in as one who hasn't received a confirmation email. As we are leaving in 10 days hopefully we will receive the fastpass in the mail before we go. If not we will do it there. I'm still bummed that we have 2 rooms and only 1 room received the email.

A lady I work with is going to wdw sept 22-30. She forwarded me an email sent to her to try the next fp asking what I would do because...in her words...she is a Disney virgin lol.

That's interesting. It let me pick the times that I wanted, and it seemed like everything was available. Makes me wonder how it will all work when they are done testing it and are ready to start officially using it. I'm a little skeptical about whether or not I'm going to like having everything so overly planned and scheduled that far in advance. We'll see.

Some small change I've been noticing around for sometime now. It appears Disney is attempting to drop the possessive off Disney's in Disney's FASTPASS. It also appears the name went from FASTPASS to FastPass (how most people spell it anyways). Just some small stylistic details.

Why do they pick some people and not others? I have not received anything and we are going to be at Disney the same week they are testing!

We are driving but, why should that matter.. we bought a package just like everyone else.:confused3

Bumming. Does this mean its going to be more difficult to get fast passes and see parades and fireworks because everyone else will already have their special FP's booked? Seems awesome to be one the the "cool" kids that was picked but, feels a little like the nerd who wasn't good enough for us. lol

I am booked on ME as well and staying at BLT using DVC points and I haven't received an email either. I don't, however, think that at this early testing stage and at this time of year, that it will have any effect on the availability of traditional fastpasses.

I'm not sure why they decided to choose guests from the Magical Express group. I was told they are setting up kiosks at the ME check in desk to assist people who didn't or couldn't sign up at home. Maybe that's why, because they could set up registration kiosks in one small area easily.

The parade and fireworks viewing areas are not very big, from what I am reading. I wouldn't worry about that at all. As far as number of FP distributed, I'm not sure that will make much difference either, since the number of test guests is limited, they only get four FP sets each, and not everyone will take advantage of the offer anyway. Just my guess.
