Fastpass plus e-mail?

All this talk of being "chosen" (which me and my mom were for September 20-25!) makes me think of this!

Received the email and had no problems getting into the system. In fact, I've been back in to change a few things and it was slick! I had five (or was it four?) dates to choose from and one was already in my plans for MK. :woohoo:

One thing that caught me: when you choose a return time, say 7-8 PM, that hour is off the table. I was hoping to have 2 returns in that hour, but the system doesn't allow it.

My FP+ for Wishes at 9 PM on Sept 19th says to return between 8:30 and 8:55 PM for patio viewing next to the Plaza Restaurant.

Choosing what/when took a few minutes of planning, but it will definitely save me some walking and time. Nice opportunity!! :cool1:

Hmm...do they mean the terrace next to the water with umbrella tables?

I've heard the view is good from there, but we've never watched from there before.

So I got my email last night too :). So now I have a question. What happens if you pick a FP for a parade or fireworks? Do you get a special viewing area or something? Is there a link with some info on what to pick for the FP+?

Yes, there are special reserved viewing areas. I have no idea how many people they will let in though. Someone on another thread posted that her Wishes FP says to go to "the terrace next to the Plaza restaurant" for viewing. I read somewhere else that the parade viewing area is in front of the castle, on the statue side I think.

I just got one, too, as did my mom (which came to my email.) I set it up for both of us, but the problem now is that my mom and sister's FP schedule (?) is different from my other sister and I's. It says you can change, but I get an error message when I try. Hopefully I can get them more in synch before we leave, or we likely won't use it.

If you decide not to use it, make sure to pass the pixie dust along once at the parks. You will definitely make someones day!

"these fastpass+ options have expired" This is what I recieved when trying to fill out the forms. Did I wait to long?

I ended up changing my times quite a bit from the original 4 options it gave me to suit my day. The only thing that was weird at the end was you just clicked done and it took you to a main menu. There was no, "We'll mail you your FPs right away or anything. I leave in 11 days, so I'm going to give them a call tomorrow since the original email said they would be mailed.

I was finally able to get back in and get all of our FPs for the same times. I didn't even think about the cards they were sending. But won't it be the card with a chip in it or whatever (a techy, I am not) ? So if we change the schedule in the Disney system, it should know that. Right? Or am I completely off? I have not followed any of the FP+ talk.

We also got the email about fast pass+. I originally picked the parade, Peter pan, Mickey and Minnie, and the fireworks for 9/19...it says parade viewing in front of the castle and fireworks viewing in the rose garden by the tomorrow land bridge. Is this a good spot to sit to see these things?

Also, does anyone know if we are able to use the fast pass+ and still get regular fast passes at the same time?

I was able to figure it out. I guess there was a glitch in the system or my browser was acting up. Whenever I picked my own options it would say options expired. So after tinkering with it, I just picked Autopick/ fastpick. Then I was able to go back and change the events to what I wanted then. I am so excited, we leave in 16 days :)

That's a good question about using the two FP systems at the same time. I was wondering that too.

We usually watch from the Rose Garden area. We like the view from there, but it is off to the side, so the fireworks aren't centered around the castle like they are if you watch from Main Street.

I wonder if you only get the Parade one - can you stay where you are for Wishes? Is it a good spot for Wishes? Trying to move between those two locations could be problematic.

I would be surprised if the two were connected. This would require changing the old system to prevent you from pulling FPs. From an IT perspective I just can't see them making such a change.

We'll be there 9/17 to 9/26 (using Magical Express) and so far did not get an email. I'm very much hoping to get one! :goodvibes We have 2 MK days within the testing timeframe.

To those with the emails, have fun making your choices!

I should have been more specific...the parade is the 3pm parade....there is no night parade that night...

So, originally (either in the original email to me or in the directions when I initially logged onto the site), I was told that after I made my selections, I would get a confirmation email confirming my date, times, and selections and my address to where they would mail the FP+ cards.

I have selected the four attractions and when I log out and log back in, it shows them still there, but I have not received a confirmation email. Has anyone else received theirs yet?

I'm sure it's not a big deal as I could just go to Guest Services when we arrive and pick them up there if they are not mailed out to us. But, I was just wondering if I'm missing something?

Thanks!

This might sound silly but after you selected your attractions and times did you hit "done" at the bottom? I received my confirmation email minutes after submitting our request. I'm sure you can do it at the kiosk when you arrive if it doesn't come in the mail though!

Well, I just figured out my problem. We have two reservations, one at BWV from the 18th - 22nd, the other at AKV from the 22nd - 27th. I was trying the reservation ID in the email, and my BWV reservation number, and neither would work. I just tried my AKV reservation number and that one worked.

Of course, because it's linked to the second reservation, we only get a choice of Saturday, Sunday or Monday for fastpasses. We aren't going to Magic Kingdom on those days because they will be crowded. I was hoping to choose Tuesday the 18th because we will get to MK around 11:00 am or noon that day and having some fastpasses in hand would have been great.

We'll also be there Tuesday the 25th, but of course that's too late. :headache:
