I have my fastpass plus picks coming up in 2 weeks. I have been to disney many times and I am not one to get crazy if we skip the big ticket rides because we go so often that being said I need to make fasts plus reservations because this is the first time going with my son who will turn 1 years old on this trip.

what rides attractions did your 1 year old like???? espcially the first day we are there we doing the magic kingdom and I do not want to scare him or overwhelm him on any attractions his very first day.

Last year, we brought out 15 month old to Disney. Her favorite ride at Magic Kingdom was actually the People Mover above the Astro Orbiter. My poor husband had to take her on it 4x in a row! She also liked Winnie the Pooh ride, Small World, the Carousel, and Dumbo. Also, she liked the characters so we did a bunch of those and got great pics from the photographers. Stitch was her favorite!

Good luck!!!

Have a wonderful time! It's a whole new experience going with a kid ;-)
When mine were teeny-tiny, Small World and People Mover were probably their favorites (obviously don't need a fast pass for people mover! :-) Winnie the Pooh is probably the best use of a fastpass for a little one, since it's usually a long line. My kids loved Dumbo, but they loved playing in the play area waiting room at least as much as the ride, so the fastpass wasn't too helpful unless you're going at a super-crowded time.

The Safari in AK was a big hit, too, so that's another really good use of a fp. And maybe use one for a Mickey meet and greet.

Have fun!

As far as winnie the pooh goes i know there is that one scene with the thunder does that seem to bother kids???

How close to 1 is he? Like 12 months or nearly 2?
I say this because I took my son to Disneyland at 12 months and he wasn't scared of anything. Like Heffalumps or Haunted Mansion or Pirates wouldn't scare him. We have also been with 2 1/2 year olds and while they are more likely to be scared, they are old enough to explain to them. It seems like it's that in-between age where everything is scary and you can't explain to them what the ride will be like that is harder.

Rides that get surprisingly busy that would be appropriate are: Jungle Cruise, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh

I don't think FP for Dumbo is necessary because the indoor playground is fun! We never had a problem adding a Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Small World FP on the fly (like as a 4th or switching it with something else)
Oh, and my kids have always LOVED the Tiki Room. No waits and close to Dole Whips.

He will turn 1 years old when we are at disney we are going to celebrate his 1st birthday

Hopefully, you will be okay. My kids, who got scared of things like Haunted Mansion and the book Where the Wild Things Are (at age 2), were fine at 12 months. I also wore them a lot in an Ergo, so they would just fall asleep or cuddle up if they were overwhelmed.

We've been taking DS since he was 7 1/2 months, and his first birthday trip was probably my favorite (he started walking for the first time at the Boneyard at Animal Kingdom).

At that age, make sure you don't skip Small World, but I wouldn't waste a FastPass on it. For your FastPasses at the Magic Kingdom, I would do Dumbo, Winnie the Pooh and Mickey at Town Square at that age.

Our DS also loved - and still loves - the Festival of Fantasy parade.

He's two now, and other favorites are the Jungle Cruise and the Tiki Room.

Small world will be closed when OP is there. I would do Dumbo, Winnie the Pooh and Mickey as well.

I took my son at 11 months and he enjoyed all of the rides without height restrictions. He loved the characters too, but we met them in character meals so didn't need to use FP+. Peter Pan gets crazy waits so I would definitely get a FP for that. Pooh would probably be next. Even though your LO can't go on the bigger rides, don't rule out using rider swap to experience any attractions you might enjoy. That worked out great for us while DS was napping in the stroller! Have a great time!
