I've heard that the Magic Bands trial is going to be suspended over Christmas/ New Year. Anyone know more?

Does this mean that Fastpass+ will be suspended as well, which would mean Fastpasses only being a available via the old Fastpass system?

I hadn't heard that but i would fully expect/understand it.

With the angry mob that descends on orlando during that two week period...if they don't have enough experience/data back on the system and haven't seen enough mechanical/technical glitches to where they feel they can repair/realign it if they have a system failure in a efficient manner...then they wouldn't risk having a potential major crowd problem.

It seems very prudent to just fall back on the old fastpass system for that period of time...its too new.

I can't see why they wouldn't continue to load some FP+ inventory and run it as they have through testing.

It does make sense to leave legacy FP up through the holiday and do the final conversion to FP+ during the quieter month of January.

Well, I know it's not suspended before Dec 7th, because I've got two for 11/30-12/7.

We are going 12/29-1/6 (staying on site) and have customized magic bands and made fast pass plus selections for all the days!

I hope they don't pull them- we have all our FP+ done for 26 Dec to 1st Jan. Could they just pull them?

no- this is just a silly rumor.

people have "invites" to test the MB/FP+ system for that time period and you and many others have FP+ already.

It was a rumour from several weeks ago, before the 60 day window for booking fastpass+ for that period.
Plainly now that window is open and people have been able to make bookings, this has proved that even if it were a possibility at that time, this has since changed.

will use magic bands Dec. 14th for the first time. I hope all goes well looking forward to this new addition to Disney!!
