I just got back from a week at WDW and noticed starting Jan 1 that once you got a fastpass you couldn't get another one for 2 hours or 5 min after your fastpass window was open. This made it very hard to fastpass Test Track and Soarin' on the same day. By the the time we could get a second fastpass they were out of them.

As far as I know, it has always been this way. After you get a FP, you have to wait 2 hours until you can get another, or 5 minutes after the time window printed on the FP. You can also get another one after you have used the first one. I don't think this is something new. They do this to prevent people from just running around collecting FPs in the morning to use the rest of the day.

When I get a FP, I always look at the information under the return time to find out when I can get another FP.

I just pulled out a few old FPs from past trips.

One was picked up at 9:20pm with a return time of 9:50pm-10:50pm(RNRC). It says I could pick up another FP at 9:55pm

I have one from Soaring that was picked up at 4:28, return 5:05-6:05. That one says " YOu can obtain additional FastPass tickets NOW, at any other FastPass location" (Spring break 2005)

Buzz picked up at 8:48am. Return time 10:05am-11:05am. Another FP can be picked up at 8:54am(This one is from Good Friday 2004)

I've always heard that you had to wait 2 hours between FPs. However, that doesn't seem to be the case most of the time.

I also think it has always been like this.

If you get a FP for Soarin as soon as the park opens it should have a return time of say 10.10 then I usually go on Test Track then when my FP time rolls around before I ride I get another.

The two hours will only really come into effect during busy periods as your FP window will be later meaning you have to wait the full two hours as opposed to just 5 mins after the timeslot given.

It has always been two hours or five minutes after the FastPass return time, for every FastPass I've ever gotten.

Sorry, for some reason I thought that is used to be an hour. I should have looked at some of my old fast passes.
