If I book an attraction for my entire party on my FastPass+ day, am I able to later modify only some people in the party if they decide they would rather do something else?

e.g. I book Space Mountain for my entire party of 7. Weeks later 2 people decide they would rather do Buzz Lightyear while the other 5 do Space Mountain. Is it easy enough just to change 2 of the 7 people to Buzz Lightyear, assuming it is still available, without messing up the Space Mountain FastPass?

Yes, you can. The app will ask you who in your party you want to make changes for, and you just select them and then see if their desired attraction is available.

Yes, you can modify in any way you wish up until you actually use the FP+. It will be pretty straightforward on how to do it when you actually get to make the FP+

One caveat though. In my admittedly limited experience, if you wait to try and change a fastpass on the day you are there you can forget about getting one for all the popular rides. The only chance is that you, by sheer luck, happen to try to get one immediately after someone else just canceled theirs. The fastpasses for the popular rides are gone long before the day you're going to use them. This is all assuming that you wait that long. If you do it well in advance you have a shot. I don't know how long that will be though. I remember getting up at 0 Dark Thirty and doing my fastpass+'s on almost the first second I could get them 60 days out. Even then I had a bit of a hard time getting some of them.

Someone with more experience correct me if I'm wrong about that. Again, my experience is pretty limited.

It can be difficult to get a FP+ for the most popular rides on the day of,r but it is far from impossible. Just keep refreshing the screen that says there isn't anything. It's remarkable what will turn up. We do this all the time to get fourth and subsequent FP+, and I've just about always been able to get any attraction I wanted on the day I'm there (this is for a party of two, which is admittedly easier than for larger parties). And if a time turns up for a hard to get attraction and it isn't the time you want, take it anyway, and continue refreshing on that attraction to see if you can change the time. Works well most of the time.
