Awhile back I read someone's post that said there is a Fastpass location for the Kilimanjaro Safari attraction at AK, located toward the front of the park (near the Oasis?). I'm just wondering if anyone else knows about this, and whether there are any other Fastpass machines located away from their attractions anywhere else in the parks. Thanks for any info!

Sorry, I don't have your answer. I really wish this were the case. I think there should be some fast pass machines at the beginning of each park for each FP ride. It is such a waste to run all the way back to Harambe for the FP and then go somewhere else for a couple hours. Anyway, I really just wanted to get in on this thread to see if anyone has the answer to this, I didn't see one last time I was there, but I wasn't looking either.

I don't think that is correct but I could be wrong, I've never seen a fastpass machine that wasn't near the entrance of the attraction.

I have never seen a FP machine away from its attraction. The FP's are a "crowds spreading mechanism", that is why they make you walk to the attraction to get the FP. Imagine the lines in a FP machine in the entrance of the park!

Last time I was at AK, the FastPass machines were right next to the entrance of the ride. There were not FastPass machines at all at Oasis. It could be something new, though, but I have a feeling it was just a little piece of misinformation.

Just watch me be wrong now.

The Fast Pass area is to the right of Kilmanjaro. Might be considered a bit off since it is not exactly right next to the regular entrance but it is next to the attraction.

Thanks for setting me straight, everyone. I looked through my notes and someone actually said it was located by "It's Tough to Be A Bug". But it sounds like somebody must have gotten a little mixed up. If the DIS experts don't know about it, I won't waste my time looking for it! :)

I'm not sure if this is what you are referring to or not, but there are boards posted in central locations at each park that will tell you the average wait time for each of the main rides. I believe it will also tell you if FastPass is in operation or not. If you are visiting during a slower season, this may save you a trek all the way back to KS only to discover that FP tickets aren't even being issued.
